Cheesy Potatoes

I made these for dinner tonight and I can't describe how yummy they were! I was having a red meal so I weighed out and counted as I would for a red day. On green day just use bacon as HEX B instead of potatoes. This is a new firm fave and def worth 2.5 syns!

Mine served 2 (VERY generously) and was 2.5 syns per serving

new potatoes, thickly sliced - parboil for 10 mins

leeks, mushrooms and bacon - chopped and sauteed in Frylight

Put potatoes in bottom of casserole dish. Layer the leek mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Make up a sachet of Morrison's instant cheese sauce (5 syns). Add a dash or two of worcester sauce and 1/2 tsp of wholegrain mustard. Pour over and bake for 10 mins. Sprinkle over 42g reduced fat cheddar mixed with 28g parmesan. Sprinkle chives over. Bake for a further 10 mins.

They look fantastic stacey, never really used packet cheese sauce, but the mustard will really improve the taste, going to morrisons tonight and will have to get some. What was that you served with it?

I served it with Joe's peppered pork steaks (www.joessausages.co.uk). They are really yummy! And yes, the worcester and mustard definitely give a bland sauce a nice lift! Make sure you get the Instant cheese sauce in an orangey pack. The other one is higher in syns.

Thanks for the info stacey :)
