Hiya

I am sick of trying different diets and failing and need something I can stick to. Tried slimfast today and only had one for brekkie then a chicken salad for lunch.

I am going to try and get Dr Charles Clarke's book rather than atkins i have posted this on atkins board as well.

Does anyone have any advice / opinion on this? I am under the impression you can have a bit more veg on this one!

Thanks

hi helen71 - i think low carbing is good if you enjoy food. I haven't tried Charles Clarke, but am doing Neris and Indias Idiot Proof Diet which is similar in the sense its not as strict as atkins!

My advice if you are going to low carb it is to try and plan ahead a bit so that meals don't end up being just plain meat and veg!

Hi

I am on the Charles Clark plan. It is similar to Atkins, but does have a little more flexibility on the carbs.

You can chat to me anytime if you like. Be Charles Clark buddies :)

I'll have to read up on that one, I haven't heard of it.

Not many people have heard of it. He has a few books. I am not sure anymore though.

He tries to say to use lean meats. After going on a few forums and reading many articles and some research...I think that a percentage of protein with fat or skin on it is beneficial to health and losing weight. Then the other fat should come from EVOO, butter etc.

So, going to start loooking into a few plans. Looked at the paleo one this weekend. That did not really inspire me.

Do you have a link for that Sophs, When I first started Atkins I called it the Caveman diet. LOL

Looks interesting, I've bookmarked that and I'll go and have a read love.
