Do any of you have bread or crackers/crackerbread?

IrishMum

A little of everything!
I'm planning ahead for when I come off lipotrim. I plan on limiting my carbs as much as possible (without becoming too anal about it?) and was wondering what you low-carb experts use for sandwiches (I usually had open ones?)?
And if you can have/recommend any kinds of crackerbreads/crispbreads for snacks?
Maybe they're 'forbidden' or avoided altogether, but I was just wondering?

HI IrishMum - there is a recipe around here for low carb bread. Might be worth checking it out?

Sorry I can't really help you with you're quesiton, I gave up eating wheat for lent and have no clue about bread/crackers...sorry!

Anyone recommend anything that doesn't involve cooking! LOL!
Thanks for that though SuZann!

How about wholemeal nimble bread irish? Very small slices and only about 50cals each slice and i cant see them having alot of carbs as they are so light!

LOL! You in here too Summer? I've done a bit of thinking and might go low GI instead of strictly low-carb? My sample menu's are full of veg and pushing my carbs right up there- but veg can't be 'bad' for you, right? So might 'allow' myself one slice of 'proper' granary/wholemeal bread for open sandwiches and just count it all in? Some of those 'diet' kinds of breads are so thin/tasteless you'd be as well just having a 'proper' kind and making allowances elsewhere? I don't know...it's all trial and error isn't it?

Irish - was only in here having a goose cuz i was bored as no one was on the LT forum! lol

I am not going to go with Nimble bread anymore - i just see it pointless - i think im either going to go with normal wholemeal bread or try burgen soya and linseed bread! :D mmm

I havn't heard of any commercial low carb bread, not outside the specialist low carb providers anyway.
