Thinking about restarting AGAIN

Restart 3/9/2013
Hi there

Used to post on the forum all the time, and lost 5 stone on CD last year. However had to have minor surgery which meant stopping, then never quite got back on to it...anyway 9 months later and I have regained most of the 5 stone I managed to lose last year

Ive tried a few other things to lose weight in the last 9 months and just failed miserably. I know CD works for me, even if it is hard work. So I am seriously thinking about restarting.

Just hope I can stick it out to the end this time :( I want to lose about 8 stone at least. I am hoping to get married in the next couple of years and to have another baby. I don't want to be a fat bride and I don't want to struggle through pregnancy again because of my weight :(

My sister/CDC is on holiday until Tuesday so I have a few days to decide for sure if I really do want to restart. Any encouragement gratefully received

Hi there cazza,
i done exactly same as you i lost 3 stone last year now ive put 4 stone on. I had been trying to give myself the motivation to restart cd but couldnt get myself in the frame of mind but the breaking point for me was when i couldnt get into my jeans and had no more bigger clothes i broke down in tears and i just snapped and im now so determind even more than the first time ok ive only restarted yesterday but im coping i had a wobble when i came home from work as i would normally have a coffee and biscuit or choc bar so i just poured coffee down sink took bottle water out fridge and went for walk for 20mins and it worked im fine now so if you decide to come back you know you have the support you need here at mins goodluck wotever you decide pamx

Yes I would definately give Cambridge another go. We know it's not necessarily an easy diet, but it takes the guesswork out of losing weight. Just drink the shakes and watch the pounds melt. You can do this.

I am restarting too after being off it for 18 months! I ahve tried everything in that time too to lose weight but was banging my head against a brick wall. I love CD because there's no staring into the fridge / press wondering what i'll have to eat, i have a choice of flavours from my box and that makes it easier for me to stick to it when everything else has failed. Am just into my second week and doing ok, Give it a go, as the other poster says, you've nothing to lose except the excess weight!!!

Good Luck hun!

hi cazza ...same here i lost 4 stone last year had to stop because of a miner op .....put it all back on tried contless things to no avail.. dont wast nomore time thinking get back on cd :D see you there xxx

Hi Starlit

get back on in before you put all of the 5 stone back on!!

This post has scared me a little - I have just had my gallbladder removed and hate the fact I can't get back on Cd for 3 months. I know I will struggle to keep the weight off untill then. I believe that getting to goal is the only way to keep it off for good - all in the mind I guess.

Look forward to Tuesday as a new start to feeling and looking fantastic.

Deb X

PS I rememeber your posts being very inspiring last year!

hi all, seems we're all in the same boat here struggling and restarting for various reasons. I've not had an op but stopped due to lots of stresses. Some things are better and some aren't
I have 14 days of packs and intend to start tomorrow morning again
If I struggle too much with sole source will just have to go up the packs
Initial goal is to lose 14 pounds taking me to 191 pounds, still way above where I'd like to be but its a start

Good Luck with your restart Jayne :)

Thanks Deb - don't feel too inspiring at the moment! However I do know I can easily drop 20lb on my first week on CD so that makes me feel better.

Richard and I have been talking alot about marriage and babies - things we both want and not in the too distant future. However I KNOW that I don't want to be a big fat bride. I only plan to marry once and I want to look stunning  Plus pregnancy at 23stone (which is what I was when I fell preggers last time) is bloody hard work. Pregnancy is hard work at the best of times, so I dont want it to be any harder than it has to be.

Last year I lost just under 5stone and was comfortably in size 18 trousers and size 16-18 tops. Ideally I would like to be comfortably in size 16 trousers, or even a size 14???? Currently in size 22 jeans that are realistically too small

Think I need to do a restart diary and start fresh...

That sounds great! Do you think you will do a blog? I'd love to follow your journey. If you decide on that can you pm the link? Thanks
