Hi,

I have a friend coming over friday and i'm cooking.

Want to do roasted veg in the oven - onion, peppers, mushrooms, courgette ribbons, carrots etc.. Stupid question alert - do i need to part cook the vey first or can i just stick it in a baking tray with fry light and bake?? What sort of temp do i need? Is 200 too high??

Was going to serve it with chicken or steak and a green salad.

Thanks

Hi

Love roasted veg! From a previous SW mag is says

' Preheat oven to 180c/350f/gas 4
Slice peppers and onion and baton the courgettes.Place on baking tray, spray with Frylight and bake for 2o-30mins until tender and slightly charred.'

Enjoy! Lovely with mushrooms and leek too!

Hugs;)

I do mine in the oven, just chopped and strayed in frylight then baked for 30 mins. I do peppers, red onion, mushrooms and potatos usually, but you can do almost any firm veggies.

If you like em with a bit of a punch - grind some cumin seeds, coriander seed and garlic in a pestle and mortar add some chilli flakes and sprinkle over the veg before you roast.

I usually pop my carrots ina little before everything else as they are a bit harder. Love the roast veges though!
