I have my Gastric Band in 3 weeks and would love some support

I booked my operation on Tuesday night, I have my consultation next saturday and then flying to Birmingham the following Friday to have my op on the Sat, Dr Paul Super will be my surgeon and I am meeting him next week, I cant wait

Have any of you on here had the Lap Band and how have you found it, has it been the answer to your problems, I would just love to speak to people who are or have been in the same boat as me

Sorry for going on a bit, I tend to do that with nerves

I am now on xenical and eating low fat foods and going to the gym 3 times a week. but my friend had the lapband done but she has had bad experience with it. she ate a chicken sandwhich (which obvisoley u cant do) and she was rushed to hospital with severe admoninal pain) she said it was the worst pain she had felt in her life. but no she has lost alot of weight and she goes gym every day and also boxing. but your not that overweight . lapband is normally for people that is seriously overweight . you dont have alot of weight to lose . but if this i what u want then go for it. but remember its very life changing. no eating anything except for sloppy soup
