When it says try to stick to only 5g of fat per 100g does it mean all fat or just saturates?

Thanks

I'm finding it really difficult to work it all out.

If I stick to the low fat meals I'm not eating enough fat. If I don't stick to them there's too much fat in things :(

I've only had 1000 cals today having had my evening meal and I'm struggling to think what I can have without any more fat in it besides fruit. I'm all fruited out I'm afraid.

Sometimes the only part of my meal that is fat is oil... put olive oil on your meat and potatoes. That way your eating healthy but are still getting your 15g of fat per meal. The oil also adds needed calories. When I eat salad for a meal... I do not use the fat free otherwise I would not get my fat...

I would not recommend using oil at all. Whether it is good for you olive oil or not, it is still fat, and xenical will treat it as such.

Oil is over 5g fat per 100g. The 15g fat per meal is only a guideline and not something you have to reach, its a maximum not to exceed if you see what i mean. I never reach 15g and im losing?

Basically the food you eat must not contain more than 5 grams of fat per hundred grams. If you do you will most probably experience the nasty side effects of xenical. Hence why its not recommended that you add oils and fat to you meals.

Also the 15g of fat per meal is a limit its not some thing to aim for.

Hope this makes sense

I have not yet experienced any nasty side effects and I do use oil... I guess I feel that if I'm not getting the 15g max that I am not getting the maximum benefit from the pills.... which cost a lot of money. Thanks for your input and advice:)

Have you been on the xenical MAP site? there is lots of useful information on there and also there is a help line so you that can speak to a medical expert who can advise you on wether what your doing is correct and getting the maximum benefits for your medication:)
