Hi All

I've been loitering around this site for a few weeks now and now feel confident enough to post a message as you all seem so supportive and encouraging!! :D

I started LL foundation on 29 April..so far weight loss is going great and am happy enough with the shakes/bars etc. However I feel the need to share following before I exploded!

We started off with 12 in the group but have now shrunk to 5 as people have dropped out for various reasons.

My main issue is that out of the group I appear to be the only one that hasn't lapsed once :p but the others have and their weight loss each week is more than mine as I seem to be hovering around the 2lb mark .... they tend to be getting 4lb on average - NO FAIR!!!!!! :sigh:

I'm determined to stick with it, I've lost 2st 4lbs to date with another 3st 7lbs to go...but it is disheartening at times!

Anyone else in the same boat??

x

Hi Weeny

I know this has happened to alot of people. It is annoying I am sure, but then just remind yourself that you are doing this for you. And also there is a medical paper someone (I read ALOT of them on VLCD's when I was on LL) that states 80% of people who "cheat" by having a meal a week will put the weight back on. So I think you should smile to yourself and pat yourself on the back. Cause it ain't going to be you.

Your journey your rules. You are doing so well, hang in there!

Hi there,Welcome to the boards.I too had very similar experiences as there were only 2 of us who stuck rigidly to it throughout the 14 weeks.Like Tange says though you just have to concentrate on yourself. You are doing this for you,no-one else. They are adults after all and may have good losses at present, but that is not sustainable if they continue to cheat.Rise above it !! Good luck x

Also the TOTAL amount of weight to lose will have a bearing - your BMI is 30 so you don't have as much to lose as someone with BMI of 40+ for example (I know it's obvious but sometimes the obvious is worth pointing out).

As Tange says, YOU are the reason you're on LL, no one else. Would you beat yourself up, or get angry because some people are 'naturally' thin? NO. Same thing really, focus on you and your motivation and be pleased that you are in control (and more in control than the lapsers) as control will be what sees the lighter you thrive post LL.

Congratulations on the losses to date. Keep positive

I think what Sean say there is probablly the most important part, you are in and have control and you still will be in the real world of food later on. Those who have 'just a little bit' now will have increased to 'well actually quite a lot' before you know it.

Stick to your guns, smile and nod and float on your considerable will power!

Hi there
i was the slowest loser in my group - and one of two who did not lapse!
frustrating at times, yes - but it's not a competition so i just focussed on me.

i have been 2lb steadily for a lot of weeks - still not lapsed - and i've got to a great place, in my own time, knowing i couldn't have done any better than i have!

keep up the good work and ignore what is happening around you
