Hi Guys,

I am struggling to lose weight, and my friend has lost 2.5 stone on cambridge.

i cant bear the thought of not eating at all so i thought i might give this a go.

Please can you tell me how you average weight losses are?

and how you find the programme!! really want to shift a stone for my birthday which is next month.

Hi gonabslim

Losses on this plan do seem to vary quite a lot person to person! I personally lost 3.5lb in my first week and 1.5lb in my second week. I am now into week 3 and am finding the diet quite easy to stick to, although missing food sometimes (mainly at lunchtime)

The only thing to do is give it a try, maybe buy just a couple of the ready made shakes/bars and try it for a week. Some people like it some don't.

I don't think I could do the CD though, I would definitely miss my food too much;)

Welcome to the forum and good luck. I find the plan quite easy to stick to and it does work, just keep drinking lots of water too. I'm sure you could lose a stone in a month if you stick with it. Easiest thing to do is write down a plan of when you are having what, shakes/meal bars, snacks and dinners. Then make sure you have stuff in for snacks and your dinner. Ready meals are a great option for dinner as calorie counted, either the weight watchers ones or supermarket own brand. They are quick and easy and you don't have to worry about portion sizes etc. Although you can also cook some very healthy options for dinners, there really is a lot of choice of what you CAN eat on the slimfast plan which is excellent. Make sure you ahve your snacks too, as they really do keep you going throughout the day and are a saviour at times! Lots of things you can have for snacks, from fruit, cereal bars, crackers, low fat/calorie crisp, even the low fat/calories chocolate bars you can get if you really need to. Tesco's Healthy Living range has a really good variety of snacks ans meals, I'm sure the other supermarkets do too.

Good luck and keep posting on here as it really helps to have support from others that are doing the same as you.
