The Diet Guy
Am I the only fan of Yankee candles?

I absolutely love em!! The new flavours for this season are really nice, the good morning is lovely.

Just wondered if there were any other Yankee addicts out there?

M.

Not seen these before, but I do love candles, will keep an eyeout for them.

Oh the housewarmer range are just absolutely fantastic!

Warning though that the food ones i.e. cookies really do smell of food so may be worth avoiding on the diet!!

Saying that the lemon zest one just out is so refreshing and just lovely!!

OOOHHH!! I need some more!!!!

M.

I havent heard of them either ! I do love nice smelling candles so will look out for some.

Had some nice ones from Ikea given to me the other week. :D

I usually get them at a shop in Norwich or at www.yankeedoodle.co.uk. I am now buying the little wax tarts and votives for customers who do really well on the diet!!

Oh that's a lovely idea Mike - may "borrow" that one :)

Hi Mike,
I LOVE the Yankee Candles! I loved last Christams 'Christmas Cranberry' one, it was lush. the only store near me that sells them is in Bridgnorth (approx 17 miles away, boo!) so I don't get a chance to 'smell' them v often, sigh.
Will have a look at that site! Thanks!

I got a wicked deal on yankee candles on QVC the other morning, 18 different mini candles (not tea lights but slightly bigger) and 2 glass holders, perfect pressies and they were £24.00 (including p&p).

One the subject of good pressies, does anyone use L'occitane soap? the white company is also lush, they do a scent called fruits which is honestly to die for :D ;)

I love l'occitane, I have the hand cream on my desk at work and I use the extra soft shower cream for the kids bath. There verbena smells lovely.

Molton Brown do some really nice mens shower gels and potions! its quite expensive but worth every penny. There shampoo is also something i use every morning, costs about £18.00 a bottle but last me for about 2 months so prob works out cheaper (and i wash my hair every morning otherwise i'm life crystal tips - showing my age there!!) They also do a lipbalm (lipsaver they call it) its a desert island product.

:wave_cry: i know i am obsessed with smellies of any description!! haha

hey all
i am a yankee candle addict too
tkmaxx do really cheap yankee candles and the little housewarming room scenters the BIG[360 HRS] candles are 9.99 and the small collections 6.99
also they do chesapeake bay candles wich are just as good as yankees
love sugar cookie ,green tea, buttered rum and rootbeer float
yumm!!!

Ooh thanks nat

I'll pop to our TKMaxx and have a look.

M.

9.99 is a better price than I've seen them at our local shops. They come in around 16.00 which is way too expensive for a candle! Last summer my sister in law from Canada was with me when I was going to buy one. She was appalled at the price as she says the bigs ones are $5 a piece there. She sent me two for Xmas, cinnamon and apple, lovely!

Hi ,
I live in Dunoon and we have 3 shops stock the yankee candles they are a bit pricier but worth it. i treated myself to the large one and bought the glass shade to sit on it at christmas it was lovely.

Where does a body buy the soap you were talkin about ?

Have a good mornig all its hissing here well it always rins in Dunoon we are by the sea side lol

i know the prices can be shocking ...but when you think how long they last[well thats my reasoning and im sticking to it;) ] i was seriously tempted to spend £30 on a candle once but restrained myself, but if you use plug ins/ air fresheners ,candles do the job just as well
mike hope your tkmaxx has them they are usually lined up in front of the tills and then up in the homewares dept

Sorry for crashing your thread, but I LOVE Yankee candles and I have one burning most of the time... I live just outside Chester, and the only place round here that stocks them is run by Bob Carolgees (who used to be on telly with Spit the Dog). He works full time in his candle shop now... Have a look at his website... Welcome to Bob Carolgees' Candles Plus I love the French Vanilla scent, but they're discountinuing it :-(

The Baby Powder candle is back in April!! Woohoo!!
