I've been around this site about a year now on and off. I keep falling off the wagon :break_diet:

I tried SW first and did ok but ultimately failed.

Recently tried calorie counting and exercise. Hubby has lost about 11 pounds. I lost 4 and have put it back on

So my doctor said she would prescribe Xenical for me. I said no at first but have decided to give it a go. I really wanted appetite supressents instead but can't take them with other medication I am on.

Hopefully I should get my prescription tomorrow and will be able to start it.

:welcome2:to the xenical forum.
Put the past behind you, can't change that now. Give the xenical a good try, as you know once you see the scales moving, it motivates you to keep up the good work. Good luck with it. x

:welcome: and good luck with it. Ensure you take some time to read through some of the formum threads hun as theres loads of advice on here.
The main pointer is to keep a record of everything you are eating and drinking, noting the calories and fat. As though the xenical is about the fat content you still need to keep tabs on the calories so that 1.you are eating enough that your body wont think you're starving it and hold on to what you're eating and 2.so you aren't eating the average person allowance {2000}so you will lose weight.

If you need any help just holler, theres usually someone around who can answer you. x

Thanks ladies.

I intend to try and keep to 1500 calories a day - will that be ok? About how much fat should I aim for?

We are managing a 4km bike ride 2/3 times a week and either a 6km walk or equivalent on the treadmill 2/3 times a week too. Is this enough exercise do you think?

Also, just collected my prescription and my tablets are 120mg - is that the normal dose? It's just that I noticed in the chemist that Alli is only 60mg.

Thanks again.
