I have just ordered an Actifry after hearing so much about them. Do any of you actually use one? and is is worth the money?

Can you just spray the chips with frylight instead of using the oil?

I use mine all the time! I love it hun! I've never tried spraying fry light cos no matter the amount of food i put in it, i always use the tiniest amount of oil. By the time you've shared it between the family you can barely count it lol x

Can I ask what an Actifry is please?

I was looking at the reviews on Argos and the majority of people gave them 5 out of 5. The only obvious complaint was the price.

I would definitely give it 5 out of 5, I use mine for chips, roast potatoes, bacon and stir frys, using tiny bit of oil rather than fry light.

The ladies at my class said they loved it and bought theirs at Costco for £100-. This was recently.

Mines not due to tuesday so let me know how you get on.

Couldn't wait until Monday, wanted to try out my new toy and ......... omg how easy are slimming world chips now !!!!!!!!! This is definitely the best buy of the decade for me. I made some chips and let the whole family try them, they were all very impressed so that's a big plus.

It took me ages to convince the wife that we should buy one of these but even though she said she still thinks the price is too high, she enjoyed the chips and said it will make life easier.

Some of the other recipes in the book look really tasty too and we will certainly be trying those out. :p

I would highly recommend this to anyone :D

what can i say ?....
Actifry- blooming brilliant , so good that my brother then my mum (who is 71 this year)bought one !!
there is nothing like a 'NEW POTATO chip' done in it

Well I'm afraid I can't justify spending that much money on a glorified frying pan so I won't be getting one.

Well just couldn't wait so have made some chips in it. I sprayed them with frylight and used 4 squirts of olive oil (1 syn). They were lovely. Just put them in a leave them to cook for 40 mins. No par boiling!! My 2 year old nephews even enjoyed them.

It's soooo easy :D
