Im soooo annoyed i have to stop the diet and eat again!! Im going into hospital on monday for an emergancy operation :( Iv got my brothers wedding on the 11th july and i NEEDED to lose weight for that and now because of this stupid op im not going to be ablt to do it! grrrr :(
 
sorry to hear you have to go in for an op pizzle84. Maybe do the refeed, high protein, low carb, low fat and you maybe wont do so much damage.
Then, you will be able to get back on it once you are fit and ready.
I am intrigued though, why do you have to come off the diet when having an op. I only ask because I need to go in for an op on 8 July and I dont want to come off the diet. I am worrying about it and it is weeks away!
 
Well my consultant just said that when your body isn't 100% and its healing it really needs to be getting 100% of everything including caleries! Its only a week i'll be off it so hopefully i can still lose enough in the 3 weeks running up to my brothers wedding :(
 
Yes, can understand why he said that. You will have plenty of time I am sure. Your weight loss is amazing..well done and good luck for your op.
 
Thanks. I was hoping to lose another stone and a half to 2 stone before the wedding but know i wont do that now. Just annoyed i need this op because its the doctors fault i need it!!! nevermind these things happen
 
Hi Pizzle,
that's a bit of a bummer isn't it, sorry that you have to come off, but if the operation is a priority then it needs to be done. Look at it this way your current weight is a great weight for having an operation, things are so much harder when we are larger. It'll soon be done and once you are recovered you can restart. Thanks guys, im pretty worried about going under general anaesthetic. Iv had ops before and gone under and been fine but since having my little boy it really worries me, plus im still overweight and that does make it harder!
 
Hi Pizzle,
You are entitled to be anxious but as you have said you have had anesthetic before without problems so it should be a walk in the park for you. Mention it to the staff beforehand so they can put your mind at ease. Anytime I have to have any procedure done I always tell myself that it may be all new to me but they have done several hundred operations and they are well trained in dealing with it. Take care of yourself and try to get some rest before Monday.

Iv never thought about it that way before...god knows how many people they'll put under on that day alone! It'll be fine im sure, just dont what to have it done full stop!
 
Dont worry too much hun. I had to come off for a week because I had a chest infection and the doctor said I should, so I stood the best chance of recovering quicker.
Was going to restart Monday just gone but then developed a bug so didn't get back on it. Still not 100% so going to restart once I'm completely better.
I've decided to keep going as well rather than stop at the end of July as don't want to keep stopping and starting.
Hopefully all will go well for you hun, fingers crossed. xx
