Slimoncemore

Wants to be slim!
Hi my lovely ladies (and gentlemen),

I would love to see how you finish off my thread title...

Losing weight with CD has given me the confidence to...

I'll start you off with mine.

Losing weight with CD has given me the confidence to...trade in my Renault Scenic and buy a silver MGTF with black leather interior, a pair of Raybans and drive around in the sunshine with the roof down, accepting admiring glances instead of hiding away!

C'mon ladies...let's hear your stories!!!

I have just volunteered to do a tandem paraglide to raise money for a dog charity I am involved with

Fantastic!! I bet you wouldn't have even considered doing that before you started CD?

Well done x

Losing weight with CD has given me the confidence to... leave the house!

Haha, joking. Well half joking.

I haven't actually got my confidence back yet so I'll let you know x

You've got to be joking...looking at your stats you have done brilliantly - well done!!
Hold your head up high and be proud of yourself. :flowers:

I've always wanted to do one but at the weight I was there was no way I would have even considered it. Fear of embarrasment at being told I was too heavy I think.

It will happen later in the year and there will be photos that I will share :)

Losing weight with CD has given me the confidence to...go out wearing a t-shirt without having to cover up with a cardigan so no-one notices my huge stomach and bum! Gone are the days when I'm going to swelter in a jumper or cardigan just to cover me up.:)

One thing I also plan to do in the future is to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. When I went there last I was just too fat to even attempt it.

to walk past a deli with a smile on my face not fretting 'OMG now I HAVE to go in there and get a muffin'.

Walk down the street in my heels (as opposed to usual flipflops) not worrying that my bum is flopping about (too much ;))

Go to bed at night at peace with the thought that I WONT be waking up the next morning filled with disgust and self-loathing (sad huh? :p)

visualize myself as an *actual* skinny person

*great post* :D

Do the Race For Life next month (actually I can't say I am confident but at least I'm going to attempt it lol)

Fantastic!!

Your stories are the inspiration we can call upon when we are having a bad day.

Keep them coming ;)

great post! Losing weight has given me the confidence to be myself and not to hide away in the house so much. So many things, I still have a way to go before goal but my whole demenor has changed for the better. Also, sounds silly but it has also given me the confidence to pursue my dream.. To become a police officer! For the first time I don't think I would be laughed out of the academy! Obviously need to work on my fitness but it seems manageable. Yay!

PS - It doesn't sound silly at all - it is amazing!

It is great to hear all your plans (but a little sad that we all 'hid' behind our weight). It makes me even sadder that some people will never try Cambridge, never lose weight and never free themselves to live their dreams...thank god we have found a solution!!

Awww thank you! That's very sweet of you. I couldn't believe your stats, you've done so well... and to stick at it for so long is just incredible! You're going to be at goal weight in no time :)

Actually what I said about leaving the house, is half true... Before I used to feel uncomfortable, feel like people were looking at me etc, and if they did look at me they were thinking something horrible. Now I just feel like everyone else, feel relaxed etc... aaaand getting attention from males again, not that I'm interested as I have a lovely bf, has been a nice confidence boost. Not when they're van drivers/builders though.... helloooo I'm probably your daughters age! :jelous:

I have been ill for a while and on strong meds so I had to eat each day - I still had the packs twice a day and then a meal - so that it why my loss has slowed down and I'm a stone heavier than I would have been if I'd been able to stay 100%.

I am back on track now and looking for some good losses again. :D

Great thread!
Mine is a little personal, but I guess we all experience similar things on here...
Loosing weight has given me the confidence to get undressed in front of my boyf again and not to wince when he touches my 'spare tyre' or tummy - which are shrinking week by week.
I had been feeling so bad about how my weigh (or eating!) had come between us and was not just effecting me any more.
Looking forward to going on holiday with him at the end of the summer and not having to hide away my body. x

Great post!!!!

Having the confidence to walk in to a room and not try to hide in the corner and pray no one looks at me, to stand tall and have conversations with strangers and not worry about what they think. I love being slimmer.

Having the confidence to do a 12 mile charity walk for Naomi House Children's hospice this sunday!!! No way would I have considered it back in February. Jess (Mrs Lampard) is doing it with me and we are really looking forward to it!!

Also the confidence to think that maybe I will find a nice man to settle down with, now that I am not so gross!!!

to flirt! ;)

seem to be flirting subconsiously these days and Iv only lost 23lbs! hate to think what lengths flirting will have got to once I get to target! lol

Oh yeah, forgot that!!! I've always been a shocking flirt but I am even worse now!! Should be ashamed at my age lol

Excellent thread..

Losing weight with cd has given me so much confidence..

I went to a play place with my little boys the other days and I was running up and down the slides with them.....

It has given me the confidence to send my forms of to cdc to become a councellor..

It has changed my life and has made me feel so much happier and confident especially around my husband as was feeling so ugly, fat and gross now feel like he will be happy to have me on his arm again rather than a fat wife.....

Just over all feel like a new person and it has given me the confidence to shout out to everyone out there that CD is the best and if you need to lose a stone or 10 this is the place to be......

LOL Im getting carried away now xx
