i've just started SW today but have noticed i'm not filling up. i had porridge this morning, a chicken salad at lunch and fruit with yogurt at mid morning. What do you all eat? Do you need to eat your syns every day

Hey there. Have a look through some of the diaries for ideas with food. I kind of depend on how hungry I'm feeling, to what I eat. Today is not a very hungry day so I haven't had much. You should try and use 5 - 15 syns, I spread mine out over the week.

I am still fairly new to SW myself, but one thing that I have learnt from this forum is to eat my syns every day, you are allowed between 5 - 15 and, so do try to eat your syns.

I eat fruit (all free), salads (just salad), Bovril drinks, Scan bran (½ syn each) spread with Quark, or an Options choc drink (between 1½ - 3 syns) or a Nescafe skinny capuchinno for 3 syns each, hope this helps...

I had the most gorgeous tea last night and it was so filling and it was even nicer cold. I went to Aldi on my way home and got a 400g bag of cooked chicken pieces, some cannelloni pasta, mozzarella and micro-steam veg.

I made the clicken pieces a bit smaller and fryed them off with; onion, corguette, red pepper and a few mushrooms. In the meantime I put the pasta tubes into cook.

Then I used VFF yoghurt and some quark mixed together - added some onion salt, garlic, pepper and a splash of bulsamic vinegar.

Mixed that into my chicken and veg with chopped up mozzarella.

Then I took the cannelloni out the water and filled them with the chicken mix to make "wraps" and served with carrots, peas and sweetcorn - it was delcious!

I saved a few and tried them when they were cold and they tasted just like Tesco chicken wraps - they were gorgeous - give it a try!!

ooooh this sounds good i luv canneloni! have been eating a lot of pasta but forgot about it and its giant fillable nature lol!

:)

Squiddie, i have just copied and pasted your recipe. will give that a try. thank you x

I just tried this again for lunch! And what I've found is if you cook the cannelloniall the way through it gets a bit floppy and hard to fill, so as a variation cook it slightly then fill it with the mixture, put it on a baking tray sprinkle some cheese (HEa) on top and throw it in the oven!

i always filled up the 'raw' cannelloni, then laid them out on a baking tray, covered them with chopped tomatoes, passata, herbs etc, then a bit of grated cheese and put them in the oven for 20-30 mins. it was soooo much easier to fill them that way! lol

haven't done it for ages though... might give it another try - was yum!
