Hi,folks, i'm new just started CD SS yesterday after a week of prep. my main worry is that even when eating "normally" i get dizzy when hungry. will i experience this on SS - if so, whats the best way to combat it. any advice will be gratefully rcvd. By the way, i hope you all know that you've inspired me great guns to get through this just by reading the entries on the site. Give yourselves a big pat on the back:D

Hi hun - firstly - have you had this dizziness checked out by a GP?

It might be low blood pressure or even something to do with your blood sugar levels. Did you mention it to your CDC? If so, what did they say?

I would get it checked out if I were you.

Having said that - I do also suffer from dizziness, especially whilst SSing and it's usually only apparent when I stand up from sitting down and I have to lean on my fella or the wall for 30 seconds to get my bearings!

Just take things slowly and don't be tempted to leap around just yet! Oh and plenty of water will help with the hunger pangs!

Good luck and keep posting!

i find that drinking loads of water takes away the dizzyness. try that see if it helps! oh yeah dont over do it i cat even walk to the shops nowwithout wanting to fall asleep. im so sleepy x x x

Definately agree with the others and sounds like something you need to speak to your GP about if you haven't already.

I haven't felt dizzy since doing CD but did get stonking headaches. Found as long as I had more water these soon passed though.

Good luck with your first week :)

Thanks for the advice everyone, yesterday i managed 2.5ltr of water, will increase it today. I have noticed that the hearing in my right ear has gone a bit dull, has anyone else had this problem or is it totally unconnected to the diet?

no nothing like that just nasty headaches, i would defo go to your doctor now just to get it checked. if not talk to your cdc

You might have an inner ear infection that is causing the dizziness, if something is happening with your hearing... just get it checked to be on the safe side...

Welcome to the world of CD...it will be an exciting journey...

Love

Hi Mum

Just remember to drink as much water as you can and we will both be shopping for size 12 or 10 by summer.:)

Have spoken to my CDC and he is not aware of any reason connected with CD why my hearing is playing up. will make a docs appt tomorrow.
Hi Naomi, sitting here at work now with a big, tasty glass of.........................water. Somehow i don't feel as hungry as i thought i would, and no headaches so far, not that I'm complaining.

I think your dizziness is related to the ear - it is the place where balance is maintained.
On another note, when I first started SS I had 3 weeks of numb feelings around my nose and mouth (like when I am about to vomit!) everytime I exerted myself. This was strange and I posted here, but no one else seemed to get it. But it settled down and I no longer get the sensation, even when I do a good gym workout, so we're all (freakily) different!

Best of luck,

my nose and upper lip area go numb and sometimes tingle. i always was a bit odd tho.

i rec kon dizziness is the ear as well. inner ear infections dont always hurt so u wont know u have it unless u r dizzy and hearing goes funny. i'd assume its that but either way...you'll have to see the doc.

hope u r doing well other than that!

Thanks for the advice girls, by the time i left work this morn (on the dreaded night shift) my ear was fine and i haven't had a dizzy spell since starting CD so hopefully all will be fine.

Had to cook dinner for the family and the smell was killing me, please tell me it gets easier........................

it does get easier,
when i started i got hubby to do the cooking but now it is no problem, i just enjoy a good sniff every now & then (how sad eh?)
xx:)
