Struggling Already...

I've only started LT today and had my first shake this morning. I am already thinking that I want something to eat. I think maybe its because i've just sort of realised I won't be able to for a while! I really don't want to give up straight away!!!!

Stick with it Tamtam these feelings will pass. The first week is the hardest and once you get that first weight loss you won't want to eat anything even if you are hungry. Keep drinking to stop any hunger pangs and keep busy to take your mind off food. :)

hey tamtam, honestly we all went thru it! ur better off keeping as busy as you can! sort ur wardrobe, have a bath, polish the forks, knives n spoons haha! just keep on the go or better still come on this for inspiration! we're all in the same boat but think how you will feel if you have a massive loss at the wi, then think how u'll feel if u have a terrible loss eg.0lb - devastated!! you can do this i promise! x x x x

Yes get up and do something, make a drink or something but hang in there :)

I'm planning on having my second shake at 2pm so hopefully that will help a bit. I'm really not used to drinking water which doesn't help as all i used to drink was Coke (I was pretty much addicted to it!) so I think i'm going to start craving sugar soon. I think I'll make myself a green tea after my shake to help me feel lile i'm having somethin I would normally have!

Thanks for the support guys...I feel like such a wuss...I only started it today!

When I make my shake I also make a black coffee, and have that straight after, also I have the shake through a straw and sip it.

Hang in there you will get passed it :)

I was addicted to Diet coke too before this diet. Now I drink fizzy water instead. I find it easier to drink than boring still water, I feel like I'm drowning when I try and get through 4 litres of the still stuff

totally agree. it seems to go down quicker and easier. stick with it. after a while itll just seem like the normal thing to do and if you do feel temptation, get away from the kitchen pdq!!

Hi tamtam I hope your now feeling better, and are over the hunger pangs x

Stick with it as promised it WILL get easier, I find a hot drink takes off the hunger when it sets in. Good luck xxx

Hi there Tamtam, promise you, hand on heart that it WILL get much easier ONLY if you stick with it 100%, no matter what!! Always have a half-litre bottle of water with you whenever you go out and if hungry, :7834: :7834: :7834:

Hi Tamtam well like everyone else says we have been there and done that and yes it is a struggle but tfr is sooo worth it so just keep away from food and if you weaken drink a lot of water - you WILL do it and your 1st wi will be brilliant x:):)

hi tamtam,
hope you are feeling better by now, withdrawals can be tough but you have it in you so get through today, then tomorrow and so on until that first weigh in and you will be feeling a lot better. Wishing you all the best in the coming days.

hi tamtam
just finished 1st week so am not an expert but I found a spoon of coffee granules in choc and vanilla shakes kept the jitters away and also peppermint tea with a sweetner in it is lovely and helps keep away that windy empty feeling:)

Hi tamtam, I'm on day 2 so I can totally sympathise! Maybe we can help each other along. I'm just trying to get through each day, one at a time without thinking too far ahead! Keep with it! Going off the successes of all the other guys on here, I'm sure it will be worth it! x
