Hair...what's your experience

Bea

Back on the wagon!
Hi all
Been a while since I posted on the LT site. Lost over 4 stone on LT last year:D ...put a stone back on after having junior which isnt bad:eek:....

But, at the end of my 4 months (plus) on LT I really suffered a lot of hair loss:(....scary to be honest! It's really putting me off going back on LT to loose the last few stone......

What have your experienes been.
Thinking of trying the maintenance programme which is a bit slower but if it avoid chunks of hair falling out.....(hair being one of my good features )

hello Bea, i am currently on lipotrim, I thought it was just me, I have also had lot of hair loss, the good thing for me is that I am african so I keep my hair in styles all the times such as cornrow, plats, so my hair is plated all the times.
Your hair will grow back quickly, but you could take extra products to avoid this.
congrats on your baby.

Have only been on it a week, but this is one thing I am really worried about. :(

Thanks for replies........I must have lost about 25% of my hair. I really wondered if I hadnt gotten pregnant would it have gotten worse........I really loved LT and after the first week or so I found it a doddle really and the pounds just melted away!

Wonder if anyone on here has been on long term (ie 6 months plus) and what their experience has been????

hi bea , i didnt experience any hair loss whilst on LT the first time but it came out by the bucket load about a month after refeed , if i remember rightly your hair stops falling out whilst in ketosis and thats why you lose a lot after , i had really thick hair so it wasnt such a big problem for me but tj ( dont know if you can remember her) had quite a problem , im back on again (week 7) the hair grows back !!!

Hi everyone, my friend did LT last year and lost 5 stone, but it did affect her hair she lost quite alot, nobody noticed but she was quite stressed about it. To be honest she looks amazing and as soon as she lost all the weight and ate a normal healthy diet it grew back, suppose its a side effect of VLCDs and loosing weight so quickly, you have to weigh up the pros and the cons for yourself. Hope this helps x
