I haven't done this since 1997.....

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
TOday, I went out in public, in shorts!

I have not done that, since 1996, actually, my before photo is the last time. In public anyway. :D

And ya know what - I wasn;t struck by lightening, people didn't fall over in their tracks dying of laughter and all is still right with the world!! :D

It was scary though! I won't lie, it took guts, but I found them and said 'go for it' 'who cares?' lol It felt great! I even got a compliment on the tattoo that no one ever sees!

So, maybe this year me pins will get a tan! wooo wooo!

ALso been chuckling about a comment made on the train the other day. I rode back from London sat next to a young lad with a leg injury. I noticed he was rubbing his leg so asked him if he was OK and told him if he needed to stratch his leg out on my side I didn;t mind, and that he could put his crutches in my space to give him more room. We got to chatting and it turned out he broke his leg coming off his motorbike.

I told him I owned and rode a Harley. He was shocked, and he said, "They are so big - how can you manage to hold it up, you're so little!" :D

That absolutely made my day!!! I just told him I have had plenty of practice lifting weights. LOL

That comment has stuck with me. What a great lad, ay? He's my new best friend!!!

ANyway, been busy getting ready for hols next week....missing my man....and feeling a bit sluggish, so taking a quick coffee break, then back to work!

Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather we have!

xx

Aww bless 'im! Pitty you couldn't put him in your bag and take him home! Only so he can keep up with the nice compliments though.

Wow, congratulations on the shorts and the compliment BL! :D

I need to lose another stone or so before I feel comfortable in shorts in public! Although, I don't mind wearing skirts (not short skirts though!).

You always seem to be wearing a new outifit every time I see your signature! And always looking stylish! :)

You've obviously found your own fashion style after losing the weight. I think that is something I might find quite difficult. When you're overweight, you're used to wearing a certain style of clothes...but then you lose the weight and you're not so sure on where you are fashion-wise! I'll figure it out with a few shopping trips!! ;)

I don't think I've ever worn shorts in public through choice! Well done!

Thanks Ladies. It was a strange experience, and I suspect it will get less strange as I get used to it. In my head, I kept imagining what people were seeing, and I must admit my initial thoughts were not very positive. Then I reminded myself, No, that girl is gone - these are 'different' legs now. AsI approached someone, for a split second I expected to see a look of revulsion on their faces. Crooked thinking. Its still there! lol And then to my surprise, they'd take no notice at all, or smile, nod and say 'good morning'. Very strange these new experiences!

Maths - its funny about fashion. I always considered myself a nice dresser when fat. I have always loved putting together outfits, and accessorising, etc. And I had adapted a pretty nice fat style. Lush fabrics, rich colours, cool jewelery, etc. And I thought when I started LL I could not wait to be wearing the same things, only smaller.

Then, when I got small - I would see something similar, yet in a size 10-12-14, whatever - and think - no, thats not me at all! ANd my current 'style' if I even have one, just has sort of developed on the go. And it still is.

Its really fun trying things I never would have dreamt of wearing, and then working off of that. I think I am ending up with a rather nice eclectic mix of clothes, that many of which mix together, with each other.

Its fun!! You will enjoy it! And it gets bloody addictive it does!!!

And thank you for the nice compliments by the way. :)

I had shorts on today too! My legs are so white they're blue! Great to be less self-conscious. :)
