My "proud" moment at Next

Me to assistant in the changing rooms: "Excuse me, do you have these in an eight?"

First time ever!!!!!

And then I went round telling everyone that obviously Next's sizing was wrong and they were too generous. I'm so angry with myself - why did I have to belittle what is for me a huge achievement? Does anyone else do this?

Well done it great when that happens! but ive a long way to go before i become a size 8 lol

Not a size 8, but I did buy a size 18 trousers last night that look fab. Considering I was about a 24-26 back in October, I'm pretty pleased with myself :D

And for a Gok Wan style boost, I'm even wearing a pair of "magic pants" under them to help smooth a few bumps. I'm feeling pretty good right now...

Congrats everyone its brilliant! Harrie - I think we all belittle our success because we either are angry we didn't do it sooner or we've always had low self esteem, it's time to boost it - congratluations on your success xxx

Congrats! I did the same when I got in to a 12 - oh they are big 12's I refuse to accept that I am a 12 despite the fact that 14's hang of me and I can wear 12's in work trouser and Jeans!

that's how I see it too - I still can't quite believe I can fit into a size 12, keep thinking that it must be just the shops where I've tried stuff on - M&S and Oasis, I'm nervous to go to shops like Zara where I've not bought anything for at least 5 years... tomorrow I'm going to the new Westfield shopping centre with my mum so I'm going to be brave and try lots of stuff on in lots of shops!!!

Congratulations both of you! (goes upstairs to try on the size 18 trousers I got from Tesco last year! Never been worn!)
