Kitchen Equipment

Regular diet flirt!!! :)
Okay, I'll be honest I don't know much about the kitchen except that it has a fridge, washing machine and microwave. I think that I have an oven too :p. As I'm re-embarking on a low carb WOE I will be junking my passion for processed crap and learning how to cook properly. i've been looking at some of the recipes on the site and they look fab - even cauli or celriac (never tried it though) mash. I don't have much in my kitchen so what should I be buying to help me. I do have some pans but what about food processors, blenders, lean mean grilling machines. Should I invest in any of these? If yes then let me know with as much detail as possible. Really appreciate all help received. Ta

I'm with Laura here Craig. We have loads of Kitchen equipment :( but I hardly use any of it. A couple of decent pans, some sharp knives, a big frying pan and that's pretty much it for me. I use the microwave occasionally and my WOK. Oh and don't grill, fry :D you need the fat.

Thanks noth, I've just read a lot baout people making various soups and mashes using food processors. Is cauli mash easy to prepare without one?

I just use a fork for the cauli mash mate. I can't arsed with all the cleaning that processors and blenders take. :D

okay then Jim, thanks. I will save my self some cash then! Going shopping in a couple of hours and was going to pick up some linseed from Tesco which will need grinding. Do you think that an empty salt or pepper mill would do the job?

Hmm, not sure, I don't see why not. I have an old coffee mill that I use.
