firstly measure yourself everywhere, including arms, thighs knees etc, set yourself mini targets, ( 5% body fat lost) then half a stone is a mile stone. etc etc.
i have jubilation every 2 weeks or so for hitting a target, todays target is 4 and a half stone!! Woop!! my next target is hitting 10 stone ( which is only 1 and a half pounds away!)
last week i took my measurements and found my thighs half a inch slimmer too, so honestly i find i am always motivated because sometimes its not just the weight lost its about toning. since i am working out, running and doing weights, some of my fat is turning into muscle, so i have to allow that the scales are not the only thing to drive me.
personally as i have hit each target i have felt sometimes differently about my shape than i had hoped. i am quite happy with my size now. just some tweeking on my legs and toning my abs and ill be done. however i am quote astonished by how toned my top half is and people comment on it, something i didnt ever set out to achieve but im glad i did!, so the key thing is, play it all by ear, how you feel , how you look, its not what the scales say!
