I am on week 2 ,and doing ok,HOWEVER...my hubby has booked us a few days away in 2 weeks time and I don't know what to do! Should I try and keep going on holiday (my hubby finds it really hard to eat on his own!)or should I re-feed and do maintenance for a week while away so I can at least eat with him.
I would re-start on return. Help !

If you have a lot to lose, and you think you can do it, I'd try to stick to LT? I came off a few weeks after starting for a family wedding and found it VERY hard to get back on track 100%? Would your Hubby not support you enough to eat on his own while away? (I don't mean that in a bad way?...)

Guess I need to talk it through with him again, he just looked so disappointed when I suggested staying on the lipotrim while away! Food is a big thing for us(that's how I got so big!) and I think he feels that eating out together will be part of the break ! There's always an excuse not to keep going though, I guess if it's not this it will be something else. Thanks for replying.

We went on a 5 day break when I was 5 weeks into the programme. Initially I had intended to refeed etc but when it came to it I didn't want to hamper my progress. I went with DH for all his meals - just didn't order anything but sparkling water and coffee. Occasionally I had a flapjack. I was asked once what it was and I just said it was the only way I could take my nutrition at the moment as i had a medical condition (weeeeeeeel - obesity IS a medical condition) People don't want to know after that because they're frightened what you might tell them might make THEM feel awkward, lol!

I'd REALLY recommend you stick to it if you possibly can hun - you'll be sooo proud of yourself and in the long-run so will hubby. xx

Thats brilliant! PMSL!! I must try that!!

I don't think your hubby realises that LT isn't like a 'normal' diet, that you can't just take a break and go right back on it with no problems? I know mine didn't at first, but now he lets me get on with it- though his patience is wearing a little as he puts off more and more various social occasions...
Maybe have a talk with him and explain the 'science' behind ketosis, and that this is the reason you will lose the weight this time. And there'll be plenty of opportunities to go for nice 'healthy' meals when you get to a size you're happy with? I'm guessing he's not a 'small' man either?

Thanks for the support and the advice, I hadn't thought of just ordering water or coffee! Really glad I took the plunge and asked. Thanks so much, I don't feel so much that it's just me on my own out there. You are fabulous!

only you yourself can decide on what you want to do but once you come off it to then restart one it is harder to get back onto it and can you remember the first 3 days till getting into ketonic thats what i dreaded when i restarted the illness and wondering why i was putting myself through it again, but if you do decide to refeed then you might regreat it if you start gainning weight and wishing you didnt refeed. but also if you do refeed and get straight back onto it you will have us all to surport you getting back onto it again.
