On week 2 of the CD and am struggling.

Excited about the new me!
Had a loss of 8lb last week and think 2 this week, although my WI is tonight, so will find out for sure :)

Not sure if I should stick just to SS or switch to SS+. Wanna loose another 14lb if I can in next 3 weeks (have a weekend away) then will be off it for 3 days though will stick to low carbing as its easier with grilled fish and chicken when you are away. Then back on it til end of July to try and shed another 14lb's!

Anyone on their week 2?
 
I'm on day 4 of week 2. I struggled the past 2 nights and woke up at 4 this morning and couldn't sleep cos felt rotten. But weighed myself and lost another lb - that's 10 so far and it makes me want to carry on. In 2 weeks my current clothes will be too big for me and i think that's when people will start noticing and i'll feel thinner- be thinner than i have for 6 years. So that's all motivating me. Take it one day at a time and everyday you do is a bonus.

Wow you're doing really well, both of you! You've inspired me to carry on.
Did you feel tired and fed up after your first five days? Or is that just me!

Yes.. felt nauseaus, tired, light headed, period has started and has now lasted for 9 days (even tho I take the pill continuously and haven't had 1 for 3 months).. Cravings in begining of 2nd week and my tummy was growling so loud, it could have been a bear in there, lol :)

I'm struggling on week 2, have my WI tonight and think I've only lost 2lb, but when I have just measured the inches.. Thats the thing thats just inspired me to carry on. Feel pleased with that. There has not been any other diet to give such quick results in just 2 weeks. It is extreme and you need to be so determined and ready in your mind to stick to it. But now feel the results have been worth the struggle, so on I will go, lol.
 
Thanks Eternal, that's cheered me on a bit. I seem to have lost about 2lbs in five days, although after the first three days I had lost 4lbs! Frustrating! I find having a bath helps me forget about hunger, which is quite strange, but hey-ho, am finding out more and more about myself and not liking some of it. Am even starting to think seriously about drastic changes to my life. I feel weird! My brain doesn't seem to be operating normally. Housework piling up, pots in the sink etc. Can't be bothered with any of it. Mighty strange behaviour for me but will stick to the CD and see what sort of person comes out the other end...
 
Hi Helena.

Thats quite normal, it gets you to focus so much on what you do. You become quite self induged for a few days as you're trying to get your head around it and after all, its for you. Lack of energy is also part of it, you'll have much more energy next week. PPl talk about going into Ketosis, I'm not interested in that as it gives you bad breath, lol.. so rather not get that with my job of counselling.

Thanks so much for your info and support mate! I now feel better about my strangeness. lol.
Will keep you posted. btw I set out with confidence that I was going to make it into Ketosis but have always had to give in with either a packet of low fat crisps, an apple or (Oh God!!) a large thick ginger biscuit! I might make today my first full On The Wagon day, but it cheers me up no end to think I don't HAVE to go into the dreaded K!!
 
I know.. Ketosis isn't too bad when you're in it, if you didn't have any friends, lol.. but with the smelly breath, I'm not worried at all about going into that bracket. If u snack at all, then make sure its high protein stuff like a couple of nuts (brazils are high) and that they are low in carb.. I nibble on ham and celery and now and then in the eve after my shake as I hate the soups, have grilled mushrooms and peppers, seasoned with salt and pepper and chilli flakes. I don't add any spray light or oil, tho I think the spray light is ok.. Just don't want to go there. The Veg Bullion Cubes are ok, almost zero carbs and cals and if u don't like the soups either, then they can act like a savoury drink. I have found peppermint tea with a sweetner good and know that I need to up my anti with my water this week.

My scales are rubbish and despite me keeping to the SS (more or less, apart from a thin slice of cold turkey - ironic or what? Lol) they are up and down like a yo-yo. So, I've thrown them away and will simply rely on my weekly weigh-in, which is tomorrow.
Thanks for your support - I really need it, cos I know I wouldn't do it without you xxx.

Also would like an Avatar and would also like to get onto the CD 'thing' rather than be uncategorised? Or am I uncategorised for a reason??:confused::confused::confused:

Helena in your control panel you can update what diet you are on honey. Also the more you post the more you can update your signature and have an avatar, so getting posting hehe.:p
 
Why such pathetic loss?

How come I've only lost 4 lbs? Have been on this CD ss for ten days. I have eaten nothing except the three packs of stuff every day plus 4.5pints of water and a couple of the bars for the past three days. The week before was my first week and I lost 3lbs. I had fallen off the wagon and eaten a slice of lean chicken one day, a ginger biscuit the next and (shamefully) a packet of low fat crisps the next, but that was just to see me through the harsh reality of the start of my cd. Now, after days of angelic ss work I would have expected to have been in ketosis and see the weight coming down more. Am feeling fed up,:sigh: grotty and tired. Is it worth it? Only got a stubborn stone and a bit to lose anyway.
 
what are you planning on doing afte ss if you stick to it, are you going to work your way back up through x
 
Helena.. Your loss will slow down and if you think about it, thats almost a bag of potatoes and they are really heavy to walk around with, lol. I only lost a lb this week.

Claira.. I'm not sure, prob will go up to ss+ after my weekend away now, see what the difference is with loss, as I really want to get back to the gym too and go from there I think. xxx
