philadelphia light

Hi, i bought some philadelphia light today, thinking i could use it as a healthy extra, but i can't find it anywhere on the website or in the book, can't even use the syns online manafacturer bit to find philadelphia, have managed to work out it is 2.5 syns for a 30g portion but does anyone know if it can be used as a healthy extra??????? thanks

Philly is made by Kraft and is 2 syns for a 28g portion size.

You can have it as a HE...I'm not sure why it's a B not an A but this is from the website:

Kraft Philadelphia 42g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy
Kraft Philadelphia Organic 42g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy
Kraft Philadelphia Light 57g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy
Kraft Philadelphia Light with Chives 57g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy
Kraft Philadelphia Light with Garlic & Herbs 57g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy
Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light 85g = B choice on Green & Extra Easy

Perhaps someone can tell us why it's not an A, nor available on red?!

I found the same problem with light mozzarella a while back but never found out.

Hope that helps anyway...

I've heard it's to do with it being rated on its protein content rather than calcium. Because its too low in calcium to be based on that.

75g of Philadelphia light is a HEa choice on all plans and can also be used as a HEb choice on Green.

Golly - I answered on your other post. Tthe reason you're getting confused is that this thread is three years old. It's only relatively recently the philadelphia light became a HEA :)
