♥3 Years Maintaining♥
Got an appointment booked with my doc next tuesday - he is the one i used to go to every week when i was on reductil to get weighed etc and so hopefully he wont recognise me! :rotflmao:

But thats not why im going .... bloody totm - still!!

Been on for atleast 10 weeks straight now :sigh: not heavy but there!

Also need to get my implant changed - have to see if he can do that there or ill have to go to the cumberland centre - mission :sigh: lol

But anyways, has anyone else on here been on a totm for this amount of time?

Its really beginning to bug me now - ok i dont mind cuz my last doc i saw (not my doc ;)) said its down to the diet and idont mind as long as im getting slim! but now im worrying - seriously - 10 weeks straight?!!! surely its not right?!!!!!!! :(

I'm a bit concerned too tbh, and I'm glad you've decided to get it checked out? Good luck with it.

I had totm problems big time too, many years ago now, because I don't have them anymore (its my age dear, Whayhey!!), mine actually went on for months and months and heavy aaaargh! Thought I would have to have a transfusion. Eventually...after many different docs...a lifesaving sweetheart doc gave me an injection, sorry I do remember the name of the treatment, but RESULT!! It was such a relief. The tampon busness went broke after that, I'm sure.
Glad you have an appointment, always good to address these things.

yeah but am worried theyre guna think im a hypocondriat (sp?) as ive been before but now ill be going again :sigh:

Hey Summer that's a long time to be on isn't it - I bed it's driven you mad!

I hope you go on well at docs and that you get sorted x :):)

lol!!! well i need my implant changed anyways so maybe that will sort it out if not i hope refeeding 10days before my holiday will stop the bloody thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sigh: lol

Best of luck with doc.

Glad you are getting that looked at as it is worrying and your not a hypochondriac at all. Hope all goes well next week hun.

It's not for another week - but i dont like the docs usually so am psyching myself up - think i may look up some problems associated with constant bleeding online - or will this scare me more?! lol

hey, i was speaking to my pharmacist just last week about my totm, i jus finished it the day before i started lipotrim but ive had it since, apart from 1 weigh in!! he said its hormones on your live breaking down with the fat and its little bits of blood??!! weird i know but he said it happens wit the diet hun!! x x

sorry, hormones on your liver!!! lol..

On refeed this week but still having a show, not as heavy as last week though, i have the mirena coil fitted and was told that the diet probably has disrupted the release of hormones,

hmmm thats what im thinking too - as thats what doc told me last time - still worrying though!

Glad you are going to the docs about this Tanya. You must be so fed up with it by now. Hope you get it sorted and soon!

Hi summergurl,
It's a horrid thing to be always on, very wearing. My chemist told me that irregular periods could be a symptom of the diet and Lipotrim include extra iron in it for that reason alone. I think you are wise however to get it checked out as you have an implant and perhaps the two don't mix well. Take care.
Doirin

best to see the doc. good luck.

Been to the doc

Just got back from the docs and he prescribed me some 'norethisterone' tablets he told me they will stop my bleeding if i wish and that it could be down to my diet or my implant - so have been put on the minor ops list to have my implant changed ... just a matter of waiting!

Have researched the tablets and they are used for heavy bleeding and breast cancer? so I think i might not bother with them- i mean my period isnt heavy its just there constantly and just annoying and seeing as i have less than 4 weeks now untill refeed i think i will see how it goes when my implant gets changed and whether they stop once i am eating again. Felt like i was wasting his time but he took my blood pressure, all ok and congratulated me on losing so much weight! (he the doc that i went to to lose weight via reductil and orlistat) bless him.

But just waiting now to see when i can have my implant changed! :sigh:
