My 'dry fry' pan

Jaycey

Post-Menopausal Maniac!
I posted a while ago that I'd sent for one of these special pans, and that I would let people know what it was like.

It came the other day, and I used it for the first time tonight, to cook my 200 calorie meal for SS+. It was great! :) You only have to put the merest hint of oil etc. in the pan (I used my new wonder food, 'Salad Light', because it's got some olive oil in it, as well as tasting fab), then I 'fried' some diced chicken breast, with some spinach and mushroom - all I added was some herbs, black pepper and a few drops of concentrated liquid chicken stock. It was yummy, and the liquid that was left behind in the pan after I removed the food was even yummier (I poured it into a mug and made it into a delicious drink with Veg Water Flavouring!).

I recommend this pan! I got mine from here:-

Harbenware Swiss design Dry Frying Pan with Glass Lid on eBay, also Frying Pans, Cookware, Kitchen, Home Garden (end time 07-Jun-09 09:34:40 BST)

Good luck if you decide to get one - I consider it a very good buy, and I'm going to continue to try and use it for nearly all my main meals now - it creates such great flavour! :D:p

Hey, that brings back memories. I used to have one of those. Wonder where it's gone to

Bet DH took it up to the loft where the rest of my possessions seem to have been moved

Well I'd go up there and find it, KD - I'm loving mine! :) (It said something in the advertising like, "do you remember these from the '80s?" - was that when you got yours, lol?! :D)

And don't let 'them' shove all your possessions up in the loft, I know what that's like - it happens to me! (While 'they' infest the house with their old rubbish.....)

Yeah. Think so :D

I never go into the loft. DHs domain. I do know that everything and nothing is up there, depending on what I ask for.

Me: Whilst you're up there, can you find 'x'
DH: I'll never find that with all this stuff up here

OR

Me: I bet you've hidden 'x' in the loft
DH: There's nothing up there!!!!

Our's is a magic loft ;)

Haha - wherever we've lived, I've always been in charge of the loft! ;) (Sometime you need to conceal things from 'them', so you need a good hidey-hole!) Call me Mrs Storage - but if I left that side of things to him, nothing would have a proper home (only on the floor and furniture - no way!).
