Sole Sourcers - what do you count as 100%?

I have been on SS for 13 days now and have had the soups and shakes etc, but also a couple of mouthfuls of plain chicken now and then (and just now a little bit of lean bacon). I have done Atkins before so I know this won't take me out of ketosis and I am secure enough to know that I haven't officially 'cheated' so I'm still pleased with how I have managed it. Does anyone else do this and do you consider that you've still remained 100%?
99%?

When i think of a 100% day its just sticking to my 3 packs and nothing else......

have you considered ss+ if you like the chicken/bacon?

100% to me is sticking to SS to the T. Three shakes/soups black tea or coffee with more than 2 1/2 liters of water and thats it. No Coke zeros, chicken, bacon or veg at all whatsoever!

No. You may have found a way that is working for you (may or may not work long term), and a way that you can do the diet, but it's not 100%.

I'm interested to know why you ask the question though. What does it mean to you to feel you are doing this 100%?

KD, I just wasn't sure what 100% was - now I know that's a silly thing to say as 100% is no leeway at all but I was interested to know if other people had occasionally had a bite to eat. I'm nowhere near the calories for the SS+ meal (I would say I've had about 40 calories max - a bit on the end of a fork) so I'm happy sticking with SS

hey boardwitless I'm with you, I'd consider myself a 99% :D and am very happy with that.

At the end of the day I still feel in control of food, and like everyone am using this learning process to find out what my triggers are and deal with them.

As well as my 3 shakes I have a weekly pack of chicken breast, or a couple of slices a day at my totm with painkillers (have to take a lot of strong ones and don't want internal bleeding, what's the point of being thin and dead!), and a daily cokezero (which I don't drink 'till I've had my 3 litres of water). I am consciously eating these and consider them part of my weightloss.

I am also working hard on overcoming overeating, have a few issues to work on which I'm takling one at a time, and my weekly chicken and daily coke havenot prevented my progress :D

Hey ShrinkingSarah, that's exactly the outlook I have - I have found it great to be in control which is the main thing I wanted to achieve
best of luck

Ahhh, I see. Sometimes these sorts of post mean "please tell me this is okay", and other times it means "lets have a list of people who chose not to do the diet 100% so I feel better about what I'm doing" ;)

The 2nd usually follows in a few weeks time with threads such as this

"Help!!! I started to add things off plan and at the beginning it was okay...but now I can't stop and the weight loss has come to a halt...what can I do:cry:"

Thanks for clarifying

KD - I'm 5' 11" and on 3 CD a day on the advice of my CDC who was the same size as I am now
See you in a few weeks ;)

You should not be on three CD meals a day - this is dangerous.

I just want to reiterate what everyone has said - you NEED 4 a day to avoid the diet causing you health problems.

Women 5 foot 8 and above need 4, and you are quite a bit taller than this so definately need 4.

And I'm afraid 100% is 3/4 packs a day, nothing else, and black tea/coffee and all your water.

Good luck

Why can't all CDC's be as conscientious as you KD, Lelly and others that post here....
No wonder you are maybe feelignt he need to eat chicken etc as you are not getting enough nutrition from not enough packs (not that the chicken will give you that anyway)
For me too, 100% is nothing else but the packs and what is allowable in the book.
Boardwitless, as KD say's if it works for you, then go with it.... but do look at the stories on here about those who start nibbling seemingly 'safe' foods.. many do find themselves struggling to stop nibbling different things too... (and yes I know there will be people who come on and say that they ate XYZ and managed to lose weight) Just be careful....
This is second time for me, and last year it was chicken, then a bit of salad that did it for me.. SS 100% is hard, but very doable.. However good luck, you have had a good initial loss so good luck with the rest :)

When i did CD last year i did 3 CD packs, at-least 3 litres of water, one can of coke zero, black coffee and 1 sometimes 2 bouillin veg drinks. It worked fine until i started adding in the nibbles of chicken then it would be wee bit of this and a wee bit of that so this time im doing all the above but NO food nibbles. Need to cut food out for the next wee while and then use the build up plan to retrain my ways of eating.

My CDC did say its harder second time round but i believe i should be more aware of whats needed at the other end to maintain. I know i did it once so i can do it again!!

Right just to clarify at 5ft8 should I be on 4 packs a day??? as I am having 3. Is it above 5ft8 or if you are 5ft8??? Am a tad confused

How much have you lost in that time ?

Is it 5ft 8 and over ?

reading it now , women who are under 5ft 8 have three cd a day and taller women and all men have 4

MsJMC If your message was to me then I am only into my second week so have been weighed only the once and lost 11lb. As for the height thing im still not 100% clear as i am dead on 5ft 8 do i get away with doing the 3 or the 4 by choice or should i def be having the 4th pack. Sorry to jump on the thread and turn it all about me :S
