Exercise - Does it slow losses?

Hi Folks!

Having experienced the "joys" (NOT!:D) of trying to get back into ketosis countless times over the last 8-9months and failing miserably i took the bull by the horns last week and eased myself into it by reducing my carbs gradually all week and re-introducing the CD shakes etc.

I actually couldn't believe it this afternoon when i realised i was in ketosis already with relatively little pain compared to the first time i did it :)eek:nightmareville). I sorta followed the sticky at the top of the threads and can defo recommend this to anyone wishing to restart. After so many failures it's great to back in control - roll on the first weigh in!

Sensible - I did the same (I had done Atkins a while back so knew a bit about ketosis). It definitely helped to go without carbs for 4 days or so before beginning CD

Hi all, this is my 3rd day being back on SS+. I can't say i've been 100% having nibbled chicken and egg mayo today:eek: but this is more to do with the fact that i was feeling really ill and weak (as on nights at the moment) and the wee nibbles have made me feel ok. I know it's my body adjusting to the drastic reduction in food (remember feeling really weak last time). So hopefully tomorrow I will begin to feel more human and stick to the plan perfectly:).

Was wondering if anyone could give some advice re exercise? Last time when i did CD i really didn't do any exercise at all:eek: but lost the weight really quickly! However i took up jogging a couple of months ago and run 2-3 times a week for about 3 miles each time. I have read that exercise can slow losses and obviously don't want this to happen but also don't want to give up my new found (sorta) hobby.

Anyone any experience of this?
