Dentist-hadn't thought of that one

I had to go to the dentist today, small filling had escaped.
He said " Hello, have I seen you before?"
he said So I told him he said he didn't recognise me. I said "well I may look different because I've lost weight". Meanwhile he looked up my records on the computer and asked how much I'd lost. When I said 12 stone he was gobsmacked and asked if I was sure I meant 12 stone!
Then he said I should have a certificate!
Here's the odd part. When he was checking my teeth he said teeth and gums were "perfect" but different from last time, it doesn't seem like the same mouth, everything much healthier and in better condititon, rejuvenated! Ifthe fillings didn't match he wouldn't think it could be the same person!!!!!!!
So it even shows in the mouth LOL.
Maybe due to drinking so much water, hardly any alcohol and now lots of fru*t.
Added bonus, didn't need a replacement filling because it was so small, just smoothed the edges and cleaned my teeth.
Thank you very much - result! HURRAH.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

:D :D :D !!! That must have felt awesome! It's still nice to get a nod for your efforts 6 months down the line - the spotlight does die down after a while, that's the hardest bit.
And yes - it would make sense for your teeth to be in better condition because you are eating much more healthily now! No more daily erosion from all the high sugars, acidic fizzy drinks and what-not.
Lol I really need to go for a check up with the dentist too, but it's so expensive. :( Ugh.

Just seems to get better and better SB!

It must be so strange for you being so unrecognisable. Even for me people I know walk past me not recognising me and thats with only 4 stone (5 stone from my heaviest), but actually I have to admit it sometimes gives me the opportunity not to talk to people that I don't want too, ha ha, I guess it's probably the same with you?

That's really interesting about your teeth tho as there have been a few posts about people linking LL to dental problems so its refreshing to hear how good your dental health is now!

Great result SB! What a lovely upper for you.

Susianna - I think lots of us have had positive comments about our teeth from the dentist. Mine said she couldn't find any plaque and my brushing regime must be superb :D. Didn't enlighten her ;). Looking forward to comments like SB got though.

If you can find an NHS dentist it's £16.50.

Nice one SB! As minerva says, it's nice to get comments all this time down the line now everyone else has got used to the new you.

I've started getting my teeth sorted now. Amazing how you start to look after yourself more when you feel good about yourself.

I'm starting orthodontic treatment soon, somthing I've been wanting to do since I was about 13. I'll get that hollywood smile to go with the great figure too!! xx
