Making fleeting moments of bravado more constant?

binibikini

supposed to be working!
"I will gym 4 times a day"
"I will stick to ABC diet for one week"
"I will not touch carbs for a month"

COUNTLESS times have I made these promises to myself (in absolute earnest at the time) only to give up on day 2. How do you keep the motivation going??

Does it take the first few losses to make it easier to continue?

That should have read "I will gym 4 times a WEEK" :D

For me, it was a case of "Ok, this is my last chance, if this doesn't work, nothing will". I was at a stage where I was morbidly obese, there was no chance of me ever living a normal, healthy and happy life if I carried on the way I was going. So I knew was this was my last chance to be happy and that was (and still is) my motivation to keep going xx

CD for me like hannah, last chance, do something now or put up with being fat forever, something just clicked with this diet i knew from day 1 that i was going to get rid of all my fat, and commit to it 100% which i have done and will continue to do so until goal. Its all in the mind, keeping focused and really wanting to change.

Hi there, I had to double read when i saw "gym 4 times a day" hehe, I myself feel that my first weeks loss has been a huge motivator to get through the next week. The fact that I'm entering a weight zone i haven't been in for years has definately helped also. I think it also comes down to how much you want it, everything good always comes from hard work and i reckon that you are more than capable of doing that hard work so will only achieve :). Definately have got extra motivation from the support on here. This is the first diet i have succeeded at sticking to for longer than a few days it "works". I also have it in mind that "it's not forever" i can sacrafice a few months or so out of my life to make my life happier for forever! (intend on healthy eating after of course)

lbs and the inches coming off keep me going, and the lovely comments and support off my hubbie to be.

Oh and of course the support off the lovely peeps on minimins xx

Witchy, I know you must feel like you've got such a long way to go yet but the time soon flies by, before you'll know it you'll be at goal and feeling so much better for it :D xx

This is also my last chance, short of surgery. I desperately want it to work for me this time. I am hoping that the amazing weight losses will keep me focused.

Main thing is im enjoying doing this, and the suprises on the scales are helping, this place is great for motivation.

I want to look fab at Christmas and wear something not from the fat shop and something from a lovely designer boutique.
