Hello all, I am new to this forum and new to LT. I started on Monday and have been reading everyones posts since.

So today is day 5 and I am feeling good. Didn't really have any of the effects the chemist said.

I also have the support of my wife who also started on the same day. She only has about 2st to lose where as I have about 6!!!

I'll keep you all updated with my LT journey as I go along. 1st WI is Monday!! Bring it on!!!

Best to luck to everyone!

Just one question, does anyone else exercise whilst doing LT? I am about to start swimming and running over the next week or so and was hoping it may help tone loose skin etc!

:welcome: Hi there, sounds like you have already got your LT head firmly screwed on. Just you wait for the first WI...it'll blow your socks off! Hope you and your wife will be able to support each other through this diet, but I personally, couldn't have done it without this site. Best of luck to the both of you.

Hiya, I was fairly active before starting Lipotrim however I gave myself a couple of weeks for my body to get used to Lipotrim before starting to exercise. I did ask the chemisty when I started they said as long as I kept myself hydrated with water it would be okay.

I'm on week two and I've started back with walking (before I was run/walking) and my usual kayaking. But I have been taking it easy to begin with. If you haven't been running before there is a book called Running Made Easy which is great to get started with. It gives you a doable program so you can start running easily and without (fingers crossed) injurying yourself.

Best of luck with you first weigh in, the weight loss really spurs you onto week 2.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Good luck to you and your wife and you can support each other - keep drinking plenty of water and you'll soon get used to the shakes and soup (maybe not the flapjacks haha x:):)

Hiya!!

Good luck to both you and your wife! Is your wife getting on with it ok so far?

I would leave exercise for atleast 2 - 3 weeks in.

Your body needs to get used to surviving on very few calories etc etc... and you could push your body into starvation mode which will make it hold onto the fat instead of losing it..

Also when you are exercising on a VCLD it is recommended to do toning exercises, As cardio work outs can also slow your weight loss...

Good luck xxx

Hi bigtosmall
Welcome to LT to you and your wife. Stay focused and it wont be long before you lose the weight. I dont do enough exercise naughty I know. Just try and listen to your body its quite tough at times when you are on a VLCD. Walking is a great exercise. xx:):)

Welcome noemi
Good luck on your weight loss journey. Just keep logging on for inspiration . xx:)

Hi bigtosmall and wife!

You want to lose 6 stones, I'm about to start week 20 tomorrow and have already lost just over 6 stones. You will do it in no time, men always lose more on this than women.

I started working out with light weights in week 2 three times a week and was fine. Really needed to tone up whilst losing and it has worked wonders. I had a lot of energy after week 1 so that was good. I now go to the gym 3 times a week, walk 4 times a week and go swimming once a week. I love exercise now and really feel that it helps with the toning.

Good luck to you both, not that you'll need it on this.

Hi Bigtosmall,
Welcome. I am also on day 5 and weigh in around the same as you and am also hoping to lose that 6 stone (to begin with). It doesn't much matter whether you are male or female on here everyone gives and gets the same advice, that's why its a fantastic forum. It's great you have someone to do it with at home, it will hopefully keep you motivated. Best of luck.

Hi and Welcome,

Great that you're doing it together, it can be an isolating experience unless you spend all your free time on here (like most of us do!)

Best of luck to you both, I look forward to seeing how you get on. x
