HI Guys,

So I've been stupid - yet again!
As some of you may know I've had a crap week with my sister. I really do just
want to get back to a normal weight so I've told my counciller im doing SS+ so I'm on 3 per day but I've not been having my meal. I just want to loose the weight, now she says that I can't be on SS? Anyway got really upset earlier, about my sister and all and just went over to the takeaway, and had a kebab. Then 10 minutes after eating it I made myself sick - i've never done this before and I know its not good im jus sick of being fat and really do wanna get thin!!! Any advice guys? Sorry to rant xx

Hey stop kicking yourself thats the worst thing you can do, one piece of advise I will give, is please do not lower yourself by going down the being sick route,

Ive been there worn the T-shirt and had major dental treatment to prove it, I ended up just making myself sick once or twice before I knew it I was obsessed, and full blown bulimic. In and out of hospital for 10 years. Im well over it now, it would be the last thing on my mind, but it has had lasting damage. Its something I would not wish on my worst enemy.

At the end of the day, your counsellor, cannot make you do 4 per day, only you can do that, she has to give you the advise of course, but its up to you its your body.

Just think how you are feeling now, I dont suppose its very good, so next time you think of going too overboard, think of this time, hopefully it will stop you.

If it doesnt, well then so what, we all fall off every now and again, we are all human, just do not allow yourself to beat yourself up for it, or go into the cycle, well ive cheated once today so I may as well continue. No stop, you have eaten, no big deal, move on and carry on, then the weight loss will either still happen, or worst case scenario, you stay the same. Its not really worth it when you really think about it.

Good luck, keep with it, stop feeling guilty.

YOU HAVE THE POWER!!

Thanks! I've just had the worst week of my life, everythings just got too much! Im all over the place - im trying to be suppotive to my family ect - just all got too much. I get no support from any of my friends/family regarding the weightloss, everyone insists I don't need to loose any weight and that im "too skinny" but im far from it!!!!

Thanks for your help!

Maybe this just isnt the right time for you. You're feeling deprived of food. What about moving up to the higher calorie plans for a few weeks? That way you'll keep the weight of you've already lost and continue to lose until you feel ready to go back to ss or ss+. You need to look after yourself at the moment and you need all the energy you can get to get though the next while.

I know I said before that CD could be good for you right now but you don't sound at all happy on it. To me it sounds like you're feeling restricted which is the last thing you need to feel right now. Losing a loved one is the hardst thing in the world and you need to focus on getting your strength back. Give yourself some time hun and surround yourself with those you love.

Stop beating yourself up. You're going through one of the hardest times in your life. From experience - go to your doctor and they will be able to get you some grievence counciling which is absolutly brilliant. Once you get your head cleared a bit, you'll be able to focus on CD with all your heart.

Take care xxx

Hi Daniel, I am sorry for what you are going through, but I am going to say something you may not want to hear. I think you should concentrate on yourself at the moment, you are not in a good place to be doing this diet. This diet (from experience) makes you sad, depressed, lethargic etc. You really do not need ANYTHING at that moment which is going to exaggerate the feelings you are already experiencing about your sister. Really, you need to get over this major impact on your life before you do this diet. The diet is very extreme. Why don't you try to count calories / fat - whatever, just cut back a bit and come back to CD when you are feeling emotionally stronger. This is just my opinion Daniel, but I feel it is not the right time for you.

So sorry to hear about yor sister, but you need to do whatever you can to cope at the moment, but the answer doesnt lie in food, the grievence counselling sounds like a better idea.
If SS is too hard for you at the moment, then as a pp said, move up a couple of steps until your head is in the right place.
whatever you do, dont go down the making yourself sick route! If you eat, accept it, and move on, dont beat yourself up!

Daniel, I've read your posts about your sister this week and really feel for you. I'm doing SS+ at the minute but doing 4 packs a day rather than having the meal, I find this much more manageable as it keeps food out of the equation. Having said that, I did have a bad day foodwise yesterday with no reason for it! Don't beat yourself up about eating, put it behind you and move onwards and downwards knowing the support is here xxxxx
