As you may know, I stayed the same last week and was really upset.Well so far this week....I'm STILL the same!!Why??I have been 100% all the way so far-no nibbles, no cheating, loads of water....it's justcome to a standstill and I don't understand why :( It's very discouraging and I'm starting to wonder why I'm bothering when I'm not getting the rewards(ie weight loss) of sticking to it.

Rose, you have done extremely well so far don't give up!:patback: I am no expert in the field as I have just started on CD just 3 weeks ago but I have read on the other threads that this does happen at some point during the diet but if you measure yourself, you would have probably lost inches from your body measurements. Has your CDC measured you? Chin up hun... Also, it does say that tho you stay the same for a couple of weeks, you all of a sudden lose quite a bit in the weeks to come.

Stop weighing yourself! :slap:

It's only been 3 days since your weigh-in, hasn't it? This happens, honest. You're not doing anything wrong. All of a sudden the scales will move. You won't just drop a pound, you'll drop 2 or 3 at once.

Don't get disheartened. It really is impossible not to lose weight on CD if you're doing it 100%.

Be strong - be brave! You've done so fabulously so far :0clapper::0clapper::0clapper::0clapper:

Hey Rose...
Hang in there hon.. You are doing so well..
I find myself getting on and off the scales but its no good as we change all the time I am sure when you go to your next weigh in you would have lost a fair amount.

SO chin up stop jumping on and of the scales and enjoy it and by next weigh in you will see a good loss I am sure of it hon

I agree with Lily, don't weigh yourself! It's only been a few days. Last week I made the mistake of weighing myself, I stayed the same for ages and got really disheartened, ended up losing 5lbs, it happens like this don't worry!

If you've been sticking to your May challenge as well, and exercising every day, you've probably been building up muscle which weighs more. And it's also possible you're retaining water if you're not drinking enough or expecting your TOTM. And it's also possible your metabolism needs a kick up the backside and you might have to change what step you are on.

Either way I highly doubt you'll STS again this week. Besides, measurements are far more important than what the scales say. After all, would you rather be a size 20 and weigh 12 stone, or a size 12 and weigh 20 stone? No-ones going to see what the scales say when they look at you, they'll see your body shape and size! :) xx

:D I would rather be a size 12!!!

I agree with what everyone else says, stop weighing yourself. If you haven't lost anything it will demotivate you. Work towards your next weigh in day and look forward to getting on those scales. Be excited about it - I always am (even if I am disappointed when I get off). I bought a new set of scales 2 weeks ago which I took to my CDC and they were exactly the same as hers. So, I know my scales are exact but I haven't been on them and won't until I get weighed officially tomorrow night.

You have done so well so far, but I know how disheartened you must feel having lost nothing last week, I felt bad enough when I only lost 2lb... I am sure you wont be able to STS again this week, and if you do, you could move up to the next stage for a week to kick start your metabolism again. I was so down yesterday, so nearly gave up on this diet, I struggled all day on whether I should give up and stick to a low carb instead, but this morning I got up feeling much more positive and guess what, I jumped on the scales like I do every morning and had PUT ON 1lb, I was devestated, I have been 100% all the way, but I will just have to see what my CDCs scales say tomorrow as I haven't been weighed for 2 weeks... I am hoping they will show a nice big loss.... keep your chin up and vow to take 2 weeks at a time, that way the journey doesn't seem to long.

Thanks all :) If I don't lose this week I think I will try SS+ for a week to see if that helps.I'll try and stay off the scales until Friday as well.

As you say you are drinking loads of water - don't forget that every pint of water weighs 1 pound so a litre bottle drunk over a couple of hours can add the best part of 2lbs. Your weight may stay the same but it may be water rather than fat you are carrying.
Keep on keepin' on........;)

Rose 57lbs in 8 weeks is amazing (double what you "should" have lost) - give your body a chance to recover from the shock, as whilst your brain may know whats going on, your body doesn't on a cellular or organ level. I know its disheartening but please don't get despondent.

Hang in there and stay away from the scales. Get the measuring tape out and rest in the knowledge that it will work.

Totally agree.
Go by measurements and how your clothes 'feel'. There can b so many reasons as others have mentioned BUT stay off the scales! Think about it, on SS its 410 calories (ish) so you HAVE to be losing it from somewhere.

Good Side - your not putting on weight!

Moving up plans could be a great idea if you STS next week. But don't be disheartened you are doing fantastically, 56lbs is incredible - look at what you are achieving (and remove the battery from the scales)

I am starting next week and weight a similar amount to what you did when you started. I can tell you, " You are a real inspiration" to me and I hope i can do half as well as you. What an amazing weight loss in such a short time. Keep up the good work.
