Cooking chicken

Yasmine

One last chance
If I'm putting the fillets in the oven, how can I prevent the chicken from going dry?

I'm not allowed to use olive oil am I?

Could I use lemon juice?

Dont cook for too long, put a splash of water in, and wrap in tin foil, that way it will steam itself and should still remain moist. hope this helps x

Nice, thanks Joy :)

Yup, I just put mine in an oven proof dish with a thin layer of boiled water :) it was lovely!

I also like to grill mine now, I spray with frylite and grill in the George Forman then use a little chilli dipping sauce, its gorgeous, but obviously you cant use the frylite or chilli dipping sauce yet. Nice for the future though.

Ooo sounds flavoursome.

I need to get my hands on some frylite, completely forgot to buy that today.

Who's George Foreman?

George Forman is a grill, great for grilling steaks, chicken or even a toasted sandwich.

Oh! kinda like a waffle presser. I have a machine like that, except it's a toasty maker.

how about wrapping it in foil and squeezing a lemon over it?
assuming you are allowed lemon juice now?

why arnt you allowed olive oil?

Yeah, lemon juice is fine. I kept thinking I was limited.

I assume we're not allowed olive oil just yet because of it's fat content. It is the healthiest of oils but I'm pretty sure it's the fat in it that's the problem. I mean, frylite is an extremely healthy oil substitute, and I can't use it just yet you see.

But I'd like to know more about that myself.

I did mine in small non stick pan and kept putting in some water and just turning them... i added in some spice and garlic, they turned out lovely :)

Cool, might try that, thanks :)
