What time to you stop drining water on WI days?

Skinny girl in a fat body
I wasn't going to get weighed tonight becasue my losses are pretty c**p and it is demotivating me. However, the curiosity is killing me so I have decided to go. My weigh-in is abut 6.00 p.m. What time do you all stop drinking your water on weight-in days?

I have a pint of water at breakfast with my vanilla latte (350ml-ish) around 9.30am, and then nothing else until my WI at 12.

I normally weigh in at between 9.30 and 10am, so I have a cup of green tea when I get up at about 6.30am and then nothing until I'm home. Good luck tonight Mia hun x

I don't normally get weighed until late afternoon, so I must admit I tend to hardly drink anything all day.....much to my CDC's disgust lol xxx

Im getting weighed at 2.30 today and have just been havin little sips of water all morning rather than the massive gulps. Leaving my shake till after weigh in. I cant help feeling that this is getting a little obsessive though!!!!

I keep thinking......if I drink loads it will sit in my tummy and make me weigh heavier.....even if I wee all morning.....now THAT is obsessive lolol xxx

As a rule, my routine is that I drink as much as I want/need upto 3hrs before weigh-in, then I take in no liquids at all. By the time I get to weigh-in time the tank has run dry!!

If my mouth gets dry during the 3hrs, I take a drink of water, swill, and spit out again.

I know it probably makes no difference whatsoever, but it is a routine I have for myself and I always do the same.

Now SteveM - That is obsessive!!! (I will try that next week, he he!!!!)

hadn't given that much thought at all. I get weighed in around 7.30pm, but still drink as much as normal, and make sure i go to the loo til it seems like it's all gone lol, but reading what others have put, maybe i shouldn't be drinking so late into the evening, and waiting for my last 2 litres after i get home again?

I had no idea everyone did this! Haha!

I'm the total opposite, I've got all my weigh ins written down with my boots on, which weigh 2lbs!

I weigh in at 10am, so I have nothing until I've been on the scales! I then have some water while chatting to my CDC, and a shake when I get home :)

This is new to me also guys .............never even thought about it like............proper gutted now as get weighed at 5.00pm and was slurping on the way over there...............next week will be different now I am learning the tricks of the trade .........lol..............x

I have WI tonight at 6pm Mia - I changed it from friday as run out of bars i need them sooooo much !!!

i was worried about it also TMI but havne't been proper for a few days that is worrying me as my scales say i have stayed the same Ouch !!

Good luck with your WI i really hope it's a good one for you!!

Why did I not think of this?? Just had my 1st weigh in and lost 6.5lb but now I cant help but think that if I didnt drink as much water this morning I would have lost a tiny bit more.

I'll try and remember for next week! x

My weigh in is a night, i just carry on thoughout the day as normal and make sure i go to the loo before i go, i dont think it will make much difference to be honest, not worth going without a drink for, good luck for your weigh in Mia

i never do this, but i'm going to in future esp as my weigh in is tomorrow!
And i have felt the need to take something to help my number 2's as i havent been for a couple of days and i'm going lots today so hoping that clears everything for tomorrow! (Sorry if TMI!)
I never usually think about the effect of the water on weigh day until i'm in the car on the way over to her house, and then i stop drinking! doh! lol
I will be making sure nothing passes my lips tomorrow morning...thank god for my weigh in being at 09:30! lol

xxx

I suppose at the end of the day, as long as you do something similar it makes no difference at the end of the day.

I have just always done this from my 1st weigh-in when I started with LL a few years ago. I suppose it was just my analytical mind working overtime ... 1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram which is 2.2 pounds, so if I do not drink anything and get rid of all the water ... blah, blah, blah

That's how habits start, and I now just have a habit!!

I really wouldnt worry too much, it all levels out, 2lbs less of waterweight 1 week will be 2lbs more another week. Actually drinking the water throughout the day is a big part of losing the weight so you'll probably reach target sooner by not holding back on the water. The body likes routine and keeping it well oiled is vital :)
