Maintenance products??

Hi everyone,

I am looking to refeed in 2 weeks time but when I went for my weigh in this week my pharmacist wanted to switch me to maintenance products already. She a nice lady but a bit clueless when it comes to this diet so didnt answer my questions.

With the maintenance do you have them for breakfast and lunch and then a healthy meal. Or do you have 3 healthy meals a day and those before you eat.

Sorry I am just a bit confused on this. Your advice will be much appreciated.

To be honest, I was a bit confused with the maintenance products as well, my Pharmacist wanted me to have a maintenance product for breakfast, then another maintenance product for lunch with a healthy lunch option, then a proper meal in the evening.

I find the maintenance products expensive and I didnt buy any (thankfully) I just got a few free samples from the lipotrim site posted to myself and friends and slip them in every now and again.

If I was you, I would use the normal lipotrim shakes during your 2 weeks refeed then just use healthy meals, eg porridge for breakfast, salads etc for lunch and a proper meal.

Thank you Kered. That is what I was confused about as on the site it says to eat the maintenance bars before eating. And that seems alot to me.
Think I will look at some of the refeed diarys on here to get an idea as I am starting to worry that I will mess it up.

Its only natural to worry when going back to food, we have all been worried when we started, but you do soon get used to it again.

Great idea, have a look through the refeed diaries and get some examples, then plan your menu's for the week.

Good luck.

Hello. I rang the lipotrim helpline the other day about this actually (I'm getting a bit of a nuisance ringing them all the time!!!). Anyway, the lady said that when it says to use them with other food you could for example have the soup, put some of your own veg in it and also have a bread roll with it. I know what you mean its not very clear though is it? I'm just going to use mine on hol and then see where I am when I get back. Still not sure whether I am going to follow the maintenance plan or just calorie count yet. Still have just over a stone to loose so I need to do something.

Thank you girls for your help. It is a bit of a grey area isn't it.
Thinking that maybe I could try the maintenance bar for breakfast (as I am not really getting on with the shakes at the mo) and then followed by 2 healthy meals for lunch and dinner. What do you think? Would this be ok?

So, if someone did 2 maintaince products and a healthy meal a day would they still lose?

as i have just orderd the free maintaince samples to all the house holds i can think of and will have 2 weeks work (for free!!) so im going to do this once im back from my hols but i wana know if doing so would still enable me to lose weight?

That sounds fine, the bars are 200 calories, so you could have a 300 calorie lunch and 500 calorie dinner, thats only 1000 a day and still have calories for snacks.

As above, the bars are 204 I think is the exact calories and the shakes are even less, so 2 maintenance products and a healthy meal would still show a loss.

Oooh cool - thanks kred! :D

haha my bad! sorry! :hug99: i think i might just stick to calling you by your real name, easy enough to spell lol :)

Ahhhhh cool :) one way to remember your username aint it! lol

Thank you Kered. I will give it a go.
