Thats a lie, i love my job its unbelievable but it is absolutely killing me working stupidly long shifts and having to go so long between shakes.

I spent about 16 hours on two on call scenes last night from about 8pm till 12pm ish today. Meaning i couldnt have my last shake of yesterday till this lunch time, then its bed time for me and up about 5pm to try and fit in todays 3 shakes before i go to bed again. I know none of that makes much sense but its driving me insane!

Sorry for moaning just need to shout at someone and you guys got it lol xx

Make one into a mousse and follow it with a shake! :)

PS - I'd love your job! xx

Mmmm a mousse, i've never actually tried that one! Might be worth a try thank you :)

Lol spending a good 10 hours a day dealing with people who for some reason hate the police and expect you to help them whilst they give you abuse, up to your elbows in god knows what bodily fluids and getting all hot and sweaty in a suit that makes you look rather like a large sperm...you quite sure on that one Jan?? :p xx

Hope you have a better day today Louize. I couldn't do your job, I'd be too squeamish.

Have you tried using the flapjacks?
don't know if you hate them or not.....bit more portable;)

I think I would love you job too :D.
But golden girl is right they are much better to carry and you aint got to prepare it.

Gosh it must be very hard doing what you are doing plus the unsociable hours. Surely you have breaks for a drink, (of water?) can you not take a screw-top beaker with the shake powder in it, then mix with bottled water as and when you have a tea-break or such like? Flap-jacks may be the best option, I've never tried them but my friend rather likes them.

Oooh I'd love your job!!! I'd be too excited to think about the shakes lol. If you decide to leave I will take your place, Im sure I'd get used to the Mcr/London commute ha ha

I never know how long i'm going to be out so it's difficult knowing how many, if any shakes to take with me. Haha yeah we only get to break a scene if we can find someone to take over, i'd rather starve than get some colleagues out of bed...life wouldn't be worth living with the moaning lol. Thanks hun yeah i did think about that one, the only problem i've got is when i'm on call. Your right though, Might have to start leaving them in the car or something!x

Hehe thanks Mini! I've managed to get today off, have a bit of a break, London has had some serious crime the past few days so i'm shattered! Haha believe me, i'm doing the job and i still feel like that sometimes!x

Haha i wish i did like them! I'd love to be able to chew on something but they taste like old cork coasters to me :D mmmm i might possibly maybe try just one at my next weigh in lol. Might be better trying to stomache one of those than have a shake with warm water! xx

Haha well i'm moving back to Manchester in 6 weeks so i'll let my boss know your interested and that you won't need food allowance lol :) you'd definately get the job on that fact alone haha xx

That makes life difficult how about putting bottles of water in the freezer at home and then they can defrost while you are on your shift and hopefully will still be cold when you make up a shake. Definately try to have extra shakes with you. Are you a police officer or medic?

I'm a Crime Scene Examiner, and preservation and continuity of the scene are vital to any case which is why once I attend a scene it is my scene and can't really leave until it is taken care off lol. Brilliant idea about frozen water though...my common sense has gone out of the window since starting this job! Thank you!xx

Hey there i would deffo love your job, i used to be a butcher!! I would say the flapjacks are your best option, i hated them at first, now i sing their praises.
I work as security, i get to arrest people, but sadly there isn't usually any blood or guts, just drunk idiots that call you a fat '****'!!!!!!

WOW interesting job and lots of hard work. Respect to you I work in a support role for the police and admire you all.

Also put in a small cool bag with and ice pack.

LOL! I admit I'd find the abuse difficult but as for the up to the elbows in bodily fluids and lousy uniform - I'm an Auxiliary Nurse in the NHS ....... Nuff said?? ;) xx
