Hi Maria, I've been to a couple. I've been a consultant now for about 18 months so anything I can help you with just give me a shout.
They'll basically tell you everythin you need you know about the job including the pay structure, what you need to do to promote your group, the admin side of it etc. The great thing about them is they're very involved in that they give you soooo much info but there's absolutely no pressure at all. After you've heard it all you get the choice whether you want to walk away or get a follow up call.

I went to one a little while back & whilst it is quite expensive to buy the franchise I think the support offered is great.
I was in a position where I could have been redundant & would have needed to find something to do part time, as it was I was redeployed so panic over. But my biggest concern was that you are effectively paying to start a new business venture, which would normally be no problem, but in the current economic crisis I thought it was a bit too high risk. As we al know the media have scaed the country into not spending any money!! I also have a commercial banking background so would probably be a little more cautious at this present time.

My advice to you is go to the event, take on board what they have to say and make up your mind from there. There's a lot of info to take in so you don't have to make a decision immediately. If it helps at all I went to the event, was very undecided so left it a few months and eventually went into group seven months later so you don't have to rush it.
