Ive done it, Ive realised that this isnt the type of diet for me...I know Ive struggled and I know that I can do it if I see it through but weighing things up its not something I could stick to without cheating at the end of each week, if I made it that far first! Im going to continue my shakes am & lunchtime with a small meal in the evening and then on Thursday Im going to WW where ive been before and there a great team. I think doing this for 3 days has already made me appreciated what I need to do if I want to shift the weight, so WW it is and ill appreciate the salads and different choices other than the usual rubbish I eat...

Thanks everyone for all your fantastic support, I know some will have words of support for me to carry on but ive made my mind with what Im going to do, sorry x x please forgive me x x

Lizi, you have simply made a decision that suits you.
CD is incredably unsociable, and if you don't feel it suits you or your lifestyle then you are doing totally the right thing changing to WW.
Best of luck x

Lizi,

I know you've made your mind up but please consider going on the 810 plan. It's really really do-able I promise and you'll lose the weight so much faster. I did WW for years and know the diet inside and out. Are you sure you won't mind only losing a half pound to 2 lbs a week?

You've done the hardest bit of this diet already. Call your CDC and ask het to tell you about 810........i love it.

Try it before you go back to WW. Stay in touch either way, good luck xxx

Hi Sunshine, Im just inpatient with everything which is why I wanted to do cd as its quick, but i cant bear the thought of not knowing when Im going to eat again, even just the different drinks (not alcohol but just flavours), ill take a look at the 810 plan in my book before I go back to WW and check out all my options. Thanks sweet x

Hi Lizi,
It's tough when you have that feeling of having no idea when you'll eat proper food again. I have a lot of weight to lose and I know I'd be struggling with that if I didn't have 'breaks' planned in. As YoyoEm says, it's an unsociable diet and the way things have worked for me I have friends coming for the weekend at the end of June, a wedding/weekend away in August and a hen weekend in October. I'm planning to take a break at those times and eat sensibly but not on CD. If I make it, then I'm anticipating that by the end of the year I'll be the weight I want to be. But the thought of those wee breaks no more than 10 weeks apart is good for my psyche as I know that I'll be eating real food then.

Not sure if this would help you, but if you thought it would, then why not plan in a break so that way you have an end point? I will admit to being a bit worried about the breaks as I hope it won't just make me want to eat again before getting to target, but hopefully the motivation from the fast weight loss will keep me focussed until target.

Whatever you decide, it's your life and your body and you need to do what's right for you. If you decide not to continue with CD, don't look on it as failure - you tried and are now making an informed choice to change. A favourite quote: regret the things you don't do, not the things you do.

Good luck with whatever path you choose.
