:confused:Just got back from seeing my CDC for the first time. OK, I live in the west of ireland, but dont think CD should be different here. Anyway, she told me I must step up to SS+ every 5th week. But I am sure I read on the CD website and in my pink booklet that it was every 12th week. When I asked her why she said we just do things different in Ireland....???? To me that answer was not good enough and did not answer my question at all. Does anyone have experience with this? Need advice from CD counsellors if possible. Thanks:confused:

I'm 99% sure it's no different in Ireland. In the olden days, you had to do AAM every 5th week, but AAM doesn't exist in the same form now. The new'ish' rule is 810 on week 13.

I'm sure we have a Ireland CDC here. I'll see if I can find her just to double check that the diet is done the same way :)

Thanks KD. It really confused me. I didnt think Ireland should be any different. Hopefully I will clear this little blip up with her.

hiya - I'm in Northern Ireland...and there is NO DIFFERENCE at all with CD plans here compared to rest of UK and I am in touch with CDCs in South of Ireland who operate the same.....

you can do SS or SS+ for up to 12 weeks at a time....in your 13th week you must step up to a plan of more than 800 cals (810 plan)....after that you can move back to SS or SS+ (provided your BMI is still higher than 25)

hope that clears up the confusion...think you need to have a chat with your CDC.....

did you get the yellow 'Weight care with Cambridge' booklet ?? this explains the different plans and should help - if you didn't get it - ask for one !

Debz xx

Thanks Debz:)
