When did you start seeing results?

Luci-De-Milo

is going to do this!
I'm only in the first week and clothes are beginning to feel a little looser, which is nice but I still look the same! In terms of visual results, when did you begin to see them? In terms of time, was it a number of weeks? In terms of weight, how much had you lost before you noticed a difference?

I want to look thin! :( lol

((Oh and good news! My ketostix finally arrived today (day 5), and I'm in ketosis! So doing something right! Does it matter what shade you are?))

about 2 stone for me but I had loads to lose!!

To be honest, apart from my family who are so supportive, it was after I had lost two and a half stone, ( and after about 8 weeks) that two friends noticed! I'd had people say 'You look very well,' before that but no one noticed the weight loss, not even my very observant, very tactless mother in law! She noticed last week!!
She was very quick to tell me (in public, loudly and often) years ago when I put weight on though!! But let's not get on to mother in laws - I'm going to be one in about 3 weeks time!!

I lose weight from my face before anywhere else so people have begun to notice already.

I'm on week 4 and have lost just over a stone, I weigh over 20 stone still though.

HTH

I noticed the weight from my face after the first week two and want to lose 5 stone...

And no it doesn't matter what shade of pink your ketostix turns...

x

it does matter what shade of pink you are, the stick should be very pale pink otherwise if it is darker it means you may be dehydrated

Oh dear, mine was quite dark! I've been drinking quite a bit of water too... eek.

Time to up the intake! Thanks for telling me that, I would've carried on as I am otherwise.

quick question.. What happens when you are dehydrated on ss? Does your weight loss slow down??

Well...

It may mean you're dehydrated. But it may not. Don't ask me why, but ketostix aren't always reliable in this respect. On the very odd occasion I tested for ketones, my sticks always turned very dark pink. But back then I was drinking in excess of 3 litres of water a day, sometimes 4 litres.

So if you think you are drinking enough water (anything in excess of 2.5 litres should in theory be enough - that's the CD's recommended minimum), don't worry too much about how dark that pink is - unless you are feeling thirsty and feel you need more.

I noticed a change after the first week as I lost 2 inches off my waist but I had a big loss the first week - probably water retention, and I could notice subtle changes in my face as well. Friends at work noticed in my third week - I hadn't told them I was doing CD so they weren't expecting to see results.

I am now 4lbs short of 2 stone off (which I can't quite believe) and I packed 3 pairs of jeans off to the charity shop today.

BUT all in all I want to loose over 100lbs so am at a larger starting weight.

My ketostixs turn a kind of rasberry colour so quite dark. If you google image for Ketostix colour chart you can see the different colours. My CDC said towards the final two colours could indicate dehydration

:character00100:My boyfriend noticed today that my cheek bones are back and my face looks slimmer....hurray. I'm only on day 12 so I'm chuffed with that. My arms look slimmer, my tummy is smaller and my love handles (yuck what a name...muffin top perhaps) are getting smaller. Yay yay yay yay yay.

Still a way to go but I feel brilliant at the mo. xxx
