810.....excited / nervous

Week 5 has started, however I am now on 810. I have lost 19lbs on SS and my CDC thinks I now need to move up a step. I'm very excited about this, but to be perfectly honest I'm also very scared! I'm worried I wont get the posrtions right, or that i'll lose weight. Do you stay in Ketosis? Can you split ur milk allowance with a Yogurt allowance. Can you split your protein and veg through out the day, for example, have 2 portions of brocolli for a small brocoli soup at lunch, and then Chicken and a veg.

Also, Quorn Sausages, could someone please clear this up for me. As well as the use of dried garlic as a herb? Salt, is all salt a no no, and also light Soy sauce, Fry light???? I've seen so many things that are allowed and arent. I'm confusing myself.

But one thing I am looking forward to is those celeriac chips!!! Oh yes! Healthy Chippies!

Did 810 for about 3 months and loved it... your CDC is the best source of expert info, but...

you will lose weight... you want to, don't you? O=(Or do you mean gain? You won't gain!)

I stayed in ketosis alot of the time... not all, but most.

You can split milk allowance I THINK and substitute 0% greek yog. I did this a tiny bit towards the end.

Not sure about splitting protein/meals, but don't see why not really.

quorn sausages & burgers - no. They have extra carbs I think. Low fat, but not low enough carb.

salt, soy sauce, fry-lite, no. And don't know about garlic salt, but if there is salt in it I'd imagine not. I used tabasco sauce or chilli flakes a lot.

As for celeriac chips... didn't know about those! Tell me more!!!

  1. Peel the celeriac, slicing off the top and bottom and sweeping down the sides with a heavy, sharp knife to remove the tough skin. Cut the celeriac into thumb-thick slices and then into fat chips.
  2. Bring a very large saucepan of salted water to the boil, throw in the chips and blanch (boil rapidly, uncovered, for 1-2 minutes). Drain the chips and throw back into the saucepan. Add curry powder and Pepper (or in ur an my case, Chilli flakes) Toss until well coated.
  3. Spread the chips over a large heavy baking sheet, leaving plenty of space (you may need 2 sheets). They take 30-35 minutes to cook, so put them in the 230C/ gas 8/fan 210C oven.

Hope this helps. I think a little fry light, a calorie a spray will crispen them and wont kill us!! mmmm....Yummy!

Damn it about the sausages, I swear I read we could have like 6 a day or something stupid! x

Thank you!!! Loks YUMMY.

Six quorn sausages a day... I wish... you'd explode! But you can have a HUGE amount of quorn mince or quorn chicken pieces... you'd struggle to eat it all. (But I managed... lol!)

Yeah, I thought it was too good to be true. It is on here though in the 810 recipe post! hmmmm, ******* for pulling our frail little, food hankering legs!

I will definitly invest in the Quorn mince then. Do you have any fav recipes you use? x

Well, maybe it is true... best check with someone like KD? Or your CDC. You never know! I use the quorn in a wok with a bit of water & (illegal) chopped toms or veg stock. Bung in loads of spinach/veg/mushrooms and leave to cook down... not thrilling, but I like it!
