Grazer

 I am a Grazer. I've realised that I eat about every hour to hour an a half. Its all good food like fruit etc but do you think this stops you from burning your fat stores because there is always food to burn off. Been really really good this week and only lost 1lb. Am beginning to think its because I graze!

Ceeps, I'm afraid I don't really know the answer to that, however, it only takes 25 minutes to digest fruit and so I can't see it makign much difference plus hardky any fat in them.

Perhaps, you should try this week to have your three main meals with a morning snack and an afternoon snack, of something good like fruit. This is what I do and feel very satisfied.

Keep your chin up, you'll probably find you'll get a bigger loss next week. They always usually level themself out chick! :)

I am the same, I can have 3 meals a day if I am at home but I have to snack in between. When I am at work I have to time my food according to my travel pattern so I tend to eat something about every 1-2 hours. Try setting markers within your daily routine where you have a snack rather than aimlessly grazing.

I know!! Im exactly the same - Constant grazer - like a cow!!!!
For some reason just can't stick to eating 3 meals per day !! Maybe I should try it and I might feel more full up!!

Depends on if you are eating cus you are hungry or cus you are bored/habit. As long as you are eating the right thing it really doesn't matter too much

I was a grazer too but now i have set times to eat. As my son is type 1 diabetic, he has structured times where he has to eat so i do to.

Breakfast at 8.30
Mid morn snack at 10.30
Lunch at 12.30
Mid pm snack: 3.30
Dinner 5.30
Bedtime snack at 8.30

This works for me and i never get hungry. I have my meals at the stated times and at snack times i have fruit, yoghurt or my syns. x

Yeah thats a good idea Betty - I think that would work for me too. And 'snacks' would be things like fruit. I think I might adopt that plan too. I sometimes feel guilty about feeling hungry during the afternoon and in the evening - but often give in to something because im hungry.. this sounds like a good plan :)

I find that i don't go hungry this way so it has been working well for me. My ds eats at these times so he doesn't go hypo. His dietician is good though, she gives me little pointers in the right direction too x
