I no you prob get people who've just started on here all the time so your prob sick of em!! But sory!!

Im on day 2 of CD tonight and struggling! Ive text me counsellor and all i got back was .... are you drinking enough water??

YES I AM!!! Over 3 litres a day but i am just soooooooo hungry. Does this pass??

I need support and encouragement which i thought i'd get from her paying so much each week but obviously not!!

Are you in ketosis yet?

Don't ever worry about being new. we are all very friendly here.

My first three days were a nightmare, day 3 was by far the worst and then I hit Ketosis and have never looked back since. Iv'e lost 14.5lb in 12 days. there are many people on here who have had fantastic results. Have you looked at the before and after pics?
 
Hi Rach

Sorry to hear you're having such a bad time. I know it's probably been said 100 times before, but you could try to keep youself busy, just until this period passes - and it does pass once you get into ketosis. I don't know - what about reading a book in the bath, painting your nails, clearing out a cupboard or go for a slow stroll around the block? Can't think of anything else at the moment! Best of luck.

Just wanted to wish you luck on your cd journey. and to say hang in there as it gets better and the hunger does stop.. As soon as you go into ketosis you feel so much better and you wont feel hungry again unless you come out of ketosis..
Its a hard at first but its so worth it when you start seeing the weight drop off and start feeling really good.
hang in there it gets better, otherwise we all wouldnt be here now.

A long bubble bath, a walk, a magazine anything to take your mind of it..

Hi hun,

I can't echo enough the words said to you above, the hunger at first is hard I know, but you WILL get past it, and once you do, it does get so much easier, and then you will get that first loss, and the inspiration and motivation kicks in soooo much from there too. For today though to get you through, a bath, a book, water ( I know you're drinking, but anything to get you through) an early night, call someone, text someone, read on here, post on here, write a blog, ummm just anything, but don't go in that kitchen, because if you give in, you have to go through all this again, and once you're past this stage, and you're in Ketosis, this hard hard work pays off - believe me :)

oh I most definately agree with coming on minimims.......I can't stress enough how much this site has helped me. Everyone is brilliant, as supportive as any 'virtual' friend can be, because after all we're all in the same boat. I started off when I first went on CD just looking at the 'before and after' thread, then I started posting on other people's threads, then I even started a couple of my own, but always always it boosted me to keep going, not give in to the dreaded f**d to the point of I was being moaned at to 'get off the bloody computer and come to bed'!!! lolol xxx
 
I promise you that the hunger will pass, I am in my third week and sometimes I have to think whether I've had my shake or not, I actually have to count how many I have left so that I can work it out!

I do get the odd hungry day but it's nowhere near as bad as those first few days, stick with it, I bet you are so close to ketosis and not feeling the hunger.

This is a fantastic forum so do keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hope you are feeling better today. I am a newbie, on day 3 of week 2 and I can't tell you how hard the first week was. It was like really bad pmt with chronic hunger, day 3 and 5 were the worst for me BUT, I followed the advice on here and kept myself busy and I got through it and lost 11.5lbs my first week. It was so worth feeling rough the first few days. It is true as well once you get past the first days you have to remind yourself to take all of your packs coz you never feel massively hungry (if I do I have a coffee or water) before my shakes/soups. I also find myself that I need to have my shakes a bit later in the day to stop me going mad! I tend to have one at lunch, one at around 6 and one around 9 which is my danger time.

Good luck and keep with it, you know you can do it!!

Hey Rach (my name is Rachel too so it's really weird writing it out!)

It looks like we've started CD at the same time, I'm on day three now and like you yesterday I was so hungry I don't know how stayed 100% but I did. But I feel so much better today. Actually woke up not hungry which was good. How are you feeling today? Are you feeling any better?
