First Question..Whoop.

First - quick update on the first week!

Been getting on well this week. I only ever liked iceburg lettuce and would never touch any of the "weedy stuff" which was everything else green and leafy!

I'm now all over the watercress, cress, spinach, dark leafys, and weedy stuff! And oh my lord its so tasty.

Cor, I'm enjoying this salad malarky!!

Finally - my question...its not on the list at all, or at least I can't see it..but can we have oxo cubes at all to make a thin gravy on RTM and when would that be?

If not (BL/Yoda this may be for you!) how do you make savoury "sauce/gravy"?

Hi Emm, welcome to the very quite RTM forum.

The book says to stay away from shop bought cubes like OXO as they contain a lot of fat, but the LL sachets are OK. I'm using a teaspoon of the Swiss Bullion with water & have no ill effects, also MUCH cheaper than the LL packs.

Isn't the whole salad thing marvelous in the first few days. Week 2 & cucumber + spring onions are riots of flavour.
 
Ah Sean....feeling a duh moment brewing on myself! Will go get some tomorrow and laugh at myslef for not thinking of it!
