Hi All,

I'm 1 stone 12lbs from goal and will be going on holidays in about 7 weeks (hopefully I will be at goal by then). However I would love a flatter looking tummy by then also - ready for the beach lol!!

Has anyone got any tips of exercises I can do at home to improve this area (this is where i carry most of my weight).

Any advise would be gr8!!!

Only advice would be to start the dreaded sit ups start off i couple of sets a day and work your way up or if you have the wii fit there are some good ab workouts on there ive been doing some from there and they actually kill me lol

Netfit have a great beginners abs workout

I am using the abflex (I think thats what it's called ~ electronic toner), I can't do sit ups because of my back and I have crap tummy muscles because of surgery...
I know some of the 'big losers' have used these belts with good sucess.. maybe do as earch if this might be of interest... think there is info int he exercise section?

x

Added there is a thread in exercise secton at the moment about slendertone

Sit ups are a good way to tone up the stomach but if you're like me I HATE them!!! The burning feeling you get makes me feel sick and I just have never gotten used to them.

Back when I lost weight a few years ago I read a lot online about hula hooping with a weighted hoop and the benefits it has on toning the stomach. Anyway I got a weighted one off ebay for not very much money and it was amazing! Even if you are crap at hula-hooping like I am it is much easier to do as the hoop is weighted and so the force of it keeps it going. You only need to do around 10 mins a day and it's virtually pain free in comparision to sit ups. It really helps to trim around the waist and helps with lovehandles/saddle bags. Unfortunately when I moved to uni I forgot it and when my dad had a clear out he threw it away  But I'm going to re-invest in another.
