Got my head in the game this week, and am proud to say I have lost 5.1 pounds, I stuck within limits and today am going to enjoy 48 left over syns tonight, I was really upset today though, as I ganed 1 1/4 pounds!!! my overall is still 5.1 but it should be higher, how can I gain weight?? lol diets aye? still is 5.1 good in a week?
 
5.1 is a fantastic week!! And that little gain may be down to something trivial like water retention, time of the month, bowel movements, etc.

Stop beating yourself up and be proud! You've done really well hun xxx

lol well done on your loss, pls step away from the scales as weight can fluctuate by more than two pounds per day depending on the time of day. great loss esp seeing as i gained 4 this week
 
If you've started exercising you can retain water in your muscles at first. But if you weighed in ordinary trousers and switched to jeans they weigh alot moer. Just weigh yourself once a week at the same time, in the same clothes (or in the buff!) and if you are sticking to the plan it will come off. Great loss bye the way.

Did you know that the average pair of jeans weigh 2lbs? (One of the women at my class experimented on the SW scales :D)

Same lady did WI before and after a wee... that can be between 0.5 and 1lb depending on how bad you needed to go!

Your scales will not weigh you the same as the SW scales

Our bodies fluctulate (sp?!) throughout the day - you weigh less in the morning that you do in the evening

On a hot day you will retain water (I think this is true for both sexes)

Basically there are lots of reasons for that 1.5lb being there but come official WI it maybe nowhere in sight! STOP weighing yourself at home... or if you do just take it with a pinch of salt (not literally!)

Saying that I weigh at home (bad habit) but I don't let the scales dictate my week. I like to see the fluctuations and see if things are true (I did the before and after a wee thing at home!). I haven't been well this week and the scales show a 5lb loss after not eating for a day but I know come WI next Wednesday that won't be true at all!

CONGRATULATIONS on losing 5.1lbs in your first week!!


 
im the bloody same with the scales didnt think i had lost on mine got to meeting and i had lost 3.5 lbs i must stay off them too lol

Thats fantastic!! I stuck to the plan 100% only had around 7-10 syns a day and cycled at least 5 miles a day and I was delighted with a 4lb loss so 5.1 is amazing if you ask me!

Now you be careful with them scales, esp at 'that time of the month' that was hilarious above!!!! Lucky you dont have 'that' to contend with and the week of serious cravings the week before!! LOL

Well done, you have done brilliantly!
