Dont like these meal bars

Hi,

Iv just come back from my 2nd weigh in, a lost of 5 lb's, which brings me up to the grand total of 13lb's all together :):):),

While I was there I got another supply of shakes etc, including these meal bars, well iv just had a tiny piece of each one, choc, choc orange, caramel an peanut, I cant say they were very nice at all, I wont be getting them next time.

Do you havethe bars, whats your take on them?

The bars are yummy!!

The cranberry bar still comes to work with me everyday and I finished the diet a year ago.

I think they are great!

I have a bar every day ... only the peanut and the cranberry crunch ones now (although I like the others too). Different people have different tastes I suppose but I absolutely LOVE THEM and couldn't have done this diet for this long without them :)

In fact, I'm having one in a little while with a hot coffee ... yummmm!
 
I love the peanut and the cranberry ones. The others are a bit sweet for me.
 
I love the caramel and peanut!

You do get to like them as time goes on...leave them for another week or so and try again.

I love the bars and still eat them now at maintenance. Toffee is my favourite by far - but love them all. It made a massive difference to me having the bars, and really helped, but they're not to everyone's taste. Mini's suggestion is very good (as always:) ) you might like them more next time you try them.
 
Caramel is def my favourite at the moment but your tastes do change all of a sudden with this diet and from experience I know that this week my fave might be caramel but next I might not be able to stand it! (very fickle lol) :D

Might be worth experimenting with them to see if you prefer them frozen/chilled or cut into pieces.

Ohhh i lurv the bars yummy yumy yummy lol, im only on day 2 but my cdc lets me have them from the start, thank goodness as i dont know if i could do this without them!

I chop mine up then pop in the freezer lasts longer that way.
 
Oh the bars are so tasty! I would prefer them to a mars bar! (No, I am telling the truth here!) They are lovley! I put mine in the freezer for 15 minutes so it's harder to chew! I do prefer it harder, makes you more satisfied. I love all of them. I tried the cranberry the other night and I must say how lovley it was! I get my other half to pick one out, he puts it in the freezer and then it's a surprize which one I get! LOL!
 
Cranberry, peanut, orange my favourites too! And take them along with me to the cinema when OH has his popcorn, bag of malteasers etc I chomp on my bar.

Strange what other peoples tastes are isn't it??!

Only CD I'm not keen on is chicken and mushroom soup and mushroom on it's own soup. Oh and veg water flavour .... wanted it to be more like marmite!!
 
You dont have to have them, in fact some people cant have them, it kicks them out of ketosis. Just helps to have something to chew sometimes.
 
I love the cranberry and peanut bars. I couldn't be without them when I'm at work. They are crunchy as well, so a different texture to the others. I also keep them in the freezer/fridge - they are much nicer and last longer. Hope this helps you! x x x

I love the cranberry and peanut ones....as others have said, your tastes will change while doing CD, so I wouldnt rule out anything at this stage!! I remember when I started CD I couldnt stomach the banana shake, but I love it for brekkie now!!

Maybe revisit them in a couple of weeks time and see wat you think then!

Eating it feels like having a treat!

Ohh the banana shake is the only one i havn't tried! mabye i will get one next week.

Peanut bars are to die for my absouloute favourite!!:D:D

Ask your CDC to get the other flavours in if you want to try them. We are meant to carry all the stock or order in if a client asks us to.

Are you drinking an extra amount of fluid with the bar??? I find if I eat them whilst drinking a cup of coffee then it fills me up!
 
Banana shake is my favourite at the moment - but hot!! Like banana custard!!

Ohh is it really like custard hot? mmmmmmmm defo on my next list then, i assumed it would be quite sickly not sure why really:rolleyes:

My CD says they're not popular so she doens't get them.
(I will try push her to get a few!)

I'm drinking about 3 almost 4 litres of water a day. (To try compensate for tetra brik & bar.) As I am 5.10, I have 4 "shakes/soups/bars/briks" a day.
