What should I do??

Hi All,

I am on week 2 of ss and have been 100%, I am getting married on in 16 weeks and want to lose 3 1/2 or 4 stone.

Here is my dilema though, I have 2 weddings coming up, on the 6th of June and the 11th of July - which I will have to eat and drink at (well in all honesty, I dont HAVE to drink but I want to!!) So what do I do?? Should I go to 890 the week before and then 1000 the weeek of the wedding, or just ss up to the day before and break it for a day????

I really cant afford any time off ss to do the higher plans but I cant afford to waste time re losing what I put on in one day???

So confused! Someone Help! :wave_cry:

With weddings there's normally some sort of meat with potatoes and loads of veg. Just stick to the meat and the veg, no pudding.
With regards to drink then things like vodka and gin with zero coke are your best bet.

If you stick to that then I wouldn't bother with going on a different plan. Last time I did Cambridge I wasn't as strict as I am now and actually drank every weekend with good losses. However, that was before I knew about the dangers of drinking in ketosis.

Going off it for a day or night makes it harder to get back on track, but it's entirely your decision and it means it will just take you longer to get to goal.

Its really up to you what you do, if you are going to drink you must have something decent to eat before hand, also, you will probably come out of ketosis, so be prepared for going back to SS again, i have been to a couple of events and to be honest i was so pleased i SS 100% it didnt make a difference to my time only thing was got lumbered with the driving lol

I see it as you have two choices.................enjoy yourself at someone elses wedding shorterm or go for the longer term goal and look even more fabulous than you will anyway and feel like a princess at your own!!! xx

Avoid going off the rails as much as possible your big day is much more important! I know thats how I feel my wedding is in Oct and nothing is going to make me feel guilty xx

What are the dangers of drinking in ketosis?

Hmmmm what a dilemma.

It depends if having a day off would the start of a slippery slope…………….. Maybe you could challenge yourself for the first wedding and continue your diet for that day without the alcohol and food - then see how you feel and how it went. If it was absolutely terrible then try and weigh up why. Sometimes you can have the bestest (if that’s a word) time with the right company and weddings tend to be just that. Plus if you spend the night on the dance floor you’ll be burning calories too!!!

Good luck and have fun whatever you decide to do.

Thanks so much for all your responses! The first wedding is a while off so I will see how I do up till then, and decide nearer to the time.
